I had both eyes worked on to remove cataracts in May, 2019. I was somewhat trepidatious at the thought of injecting sedation behind my eyes and then cutting into my eyes and replacing my lenses. I'm 69 and have worn glasses my entire life. Everyone at the PCLI, from the folks who first greeted me to the surgeons who performed the operations, were incredibly wonderful. They were reassuring, competent, gracious and totally friendly. Every question was answered to my complete satisfaction. Every step of the process was explained to me totally. Every employee treated me as though they had known me for years (and LIKED me)! The operations were not only successful, but far more helpful than I imagined. My distance vision has been corrected to better than I had with my glasses. My near vision still needs correcting with glasses, but a pair of "reading glasses" from the pharmacy deals with that. Even my color perception is brighter that I ever remember. In short, this experience was easy and almost miraculous, thanks, in great part, to the incredible staff of PCLI. I would strongly recommend them to anyone considering cataract surgery.

On August 22, 2018 I did a job with Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute of Burk Ricky R OD. The subject that was talked about was Ptergium => pterygium. It is the people of the counties of Washington, Clackamas, Multnomah and Clark County and of Mexican origin that I mainly attend so I have a lot of experience in my work. Of the more than two thousand interpretations that I have completed; never before had anyone corrected me that I was wrong because I should interpret in the second person said the nurse sitting on the left, back, Doc Burk Ricky. On August 22, 2018 was a bad day for me this thanks to Nurse Sue, who at the end of the day she and her doctor both told me "excellent work" but two days later send me a message you are fired. I would not recommend my Latino people to go get care from this clinic (PCLI).There is Katie and Sue and others that like to gossip and cause trouble for the rest.

Dr Rick Burk is very knowledgeable and explains eye problems and options very well. He’s taken care of several members of my family and myself with great skill and care.
