List of Harper Steven's Reviews
My family & I found Dr Steven Harper to be one of the best doctors any of us have ever been to. We first met the provider when my father was diagnosed with colon cancer. Doctor was always willing to listen to my concerns regarding my father's health. I believe he succeeded literally in keeping my father alive for a GOOD, comfortable 2 years following diagnosis.
Dr. Harper saved my live. I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer 28 years ago, and because of his outstanding surgical skills and patient commitment, I’ve been cancer-free for 28 years. Highly recommend hi and this practice.
My PCP referred me to Dr. Harper. From first visit through 6 months of follow-up this man was horrific to deal with, at every turn. It is bad when your patient tells you month after month he will need surgery again. How this mans license to practice has not been revoked is a sheer miracle. He dismissed any question or concern emphatically. He was right, had been doing this for decades... DECADES... Who was I to question the great Dr. Harper. Second surgery I did my research and have not had a problem since - Newer technique, modern medicine - God forbid, to Dr. Harper modern medicine was FAKE NEWS in my experience.
Dr Harper is a scam. I went for my free colonoscopy per Aetna’s recommendation. I made it perfectly clear at my initial appointment that this was to be billed as such. His office did not bill it as such and I was stuck with a $2500 bill. I disputed this with his office and Aetna both pointed the finger at each other and I was screwed. Do not use this provider
Excellent surgeon. Highly recommend.
Dr. Harper has a great sense of humor and wonderful bedside manner.
Was in pain and just moved to the area. Their staff was incredible friendly and sympathetic. They got me in immediately, no wait, great communication and out the door feeling a lot better. Would recommend and hopefully i don't need their services again, but if i do - i know where to go.
Excellent and friendly doctor . Explained everything to me . Four visit and great service every visit.
At my consult I was told the max out of pocket would be $400 i advised them the colonoscopy was covered at 100% preventive care. Three weeks after the procedure they send a bill for $2000 and their is another bill coming per my conversation with Aetna. I did my due diligence before the procedure to confirm my financial responsibility speaking with the doctors office and Aetna. Aetna reaches out to them to have them correct their billing and they refused. On top of that I never received results from supposed biopsy on polyp. Scam!
Dr Harper treats my husband and is always kind and thorough

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
