First time meeting Dr. Gopez. He was friendly and clear in explaining what is happening to my body. I was shocked to know I am ultimately facing surgery but on thinking about it afterward, i am confident he will do it well. Office staff pleasant and efficient.

I finally decided to consult a surgeon regarding my long history of low back pain. The entire staff was professional and courteous. I was examined after my medical history and recent MRI were reviewed. Dr Gopez explained the different procedures available but said he recommended additional tests and referred me to a pain management specialist before considering surgery. I readily agreed with this plan and I will return after this is done.

i had two herniated disks c5-6, and c6-7, with lateral herniation and only 3 mm clearance of spinal cord. i had PRIOR surgery (elsewhere) c3-4, and c4-5. that made this new surgery more complex. Dr. Gopez and team explained the risks, benefits, etc, and the team all were on the same page, all knew what surgery was to be done, etc, all the way through recovery and the overnight stay and in followup appointments. essentially, he saved my spinal cord.

Dr. Gopez is an excellent Neurosurgeon who significantly helped my age 84 step-father’s (in short) unstable back by inserting 2 rods. It has greatly changed his life by giving him back his independence. He is now working out again & driving! And importantly not in any more pain.

Dr. Gopez is an excellent communicator and listener. He was calm and generous of his time to answer questions. Nice to have visited a surgeon who doesn’t automatically assume surgery is the answer to the discomfort you’re feeling.
