I had an accident where I suffered a complete avulsion of my distal biceps brachia tendon on my right arm. I presented to Dr. Heckman and his staff with my MRI which clearly showed the condition and Dr. Heckman and his team performed the reattachment a week later. Post surgery was an incredible sucess and 7 weeks later I have complete Range of Motion (ROM) restored with little or insignificant scar tissue on forearm. Strength traing and PT continues but I am expected to make a full and complete recovery. Dr Heckman is a highly skilled surgeon with an outstanding team of professional doctors that truly care about the patient and their recovery. Dr. Heckman is a genuinely gifted doctor and has excellent communicative interpersonal skills. He exemplifies and speaks volumes on what a caring, skilled surgical doctor in the 21st century should be and how present themselves to patients. I highly recommend him for surgical reattachment and other joint replacement surgical therapies.

Treated my wife with metastatic NSCLC providing IM nails to prevent leg/arm fractures. Thoughtful, gifted and accommodating. Recognized the urgency of her case and within days performed both the arm and leg surgeries.

Dr Heckman recently repaired a couple torn tendons and a torn rotator cuff for me. Dr Heckman and his team are very thorough and take their patient's care very seriously. I would absolutely recommend him and his team to anyone who needs orthopedic treatment. Thank you Dr Heckman!

The outcome of the ORIF surgery of my elbow was excellent . Everything from start to finish was thoroughly explained . All went very smoothly !!

I have been going to him for over a year now and I still can’t rotate my shoulder. My last appointment with him he said sorry there is nothing more I can do for you. So now I go to a real doctor.

I was sent to Dr Heckman thru disability thru work. He was working with Sedgewick , my insurance company trying to say l had a minor injury and just tennis elbow, that his wife has from picking up their kids!! Very rude, made harsh remarks. Never looked at my disc on his computer showing l had a MRI and had a tear in my tendon in my elbow. Also my therapist from rehab of hand and upper extremity did a ultrasound and noticed l had a tear. He was kind and compassionate and worked with me to make my elbow better. I quit going to Dr Heckman after being treated harshly and went to OAA. They were exceptional and suggested Prp shots, which l had 2 done. That was almost 2 years ago and l had no problems since having the shots and therapy. Dr Heckman did nothing for me other than to judge and berate me because it was work related. Never again will l ever go to him. Do not go to him if its work related, he wont help you!

Does not fully understand his job. Seems lost and doesn't really care about your problem. Looks for the easiest way to say no, you have nothing wrong. Arrogant and condescending. Doesn't think outside the box in regards to your care. Appears like he can't be bothered. Have no trust in him to do the right thing.

Dr. Heckman is awesome, he has great bedside manners that every Dr. should, but don't have. He takes the time to explain everything, first he will explain in medical term than explain what the medical term means. Which is awesome to me. He took very good care of my husband, before and after his surgery. Right after my husband surgery Dr. Heckman came to the waiting room, showed me the pictures of my husband arm and he explained everything. I pray that God continues to bless him and continue to have the ability to do what he does so well. Take care of people.
