Dr king is AMAZING! I couldn’t have picked a better pediatrician and I can’t recommend him enough!
We have been coming here since our little one was born. We absolutely love Dr.King & the whole staff. Scheduling an appointment same day when our little one gets sick has never been an issue. We even had a slight emergency when we were overseas and they were SO helpful. It makes me feel at ease that this is our child's pediatrician as he is so caring.
Could not speak more highly of Dr. King and the entire staff of Ardmore Pediatrics. Dr. King has been so helpful and reassuring to me as a first time mom and always takes the time to answer all my questions. We are so grateful to have him as my daughter’s doctor.
My wife and I had our first visit with Dr. King for our newborn baby. We are both estatic with the level of compassion, care, and information provided and he often answered concerns before we even had a chance to ask them! Dr. King also mentioned a few things that might happen that would be cause for worry but are perfectly normal. This helped take some of the stress off my wife when one those things actually did happen later that day. Both of us are excited to have Ardmore Chestnut Pediatrics as our baby's care provider for the foreseeable future!
I love the personal touch of this practice, the calm and gentle demeanor of all of the doctors and staff, and the ease of getting an appointment.
Dr King combines an old school doctors practice with progressive thinking. If you want a pediatrician who builds a relationship, isn’t all about electronic records and computers, but is up to date on the latest medical thinking, you’ve come to the right place.
We absolutely love Dr. King. I have two daughters, 3 and 1, and we have been coming here since 3 was born. We never have to wait for an appointment. Sick visits are always available on the day of. The office communicates promptly about all issues and I receive callbacks quickly, even after hours. Dr. King is kind and calming and gives us as much time as we need to ask questions. Couldn't recommend more.
We have been coming here for our now 19 month old daughter since moving to Philly around this time last year. I have always been a fan of everything about this practice - the ease, flexibility, friendliness of staff making appointments, quick check in process, and wait time that doesn't go beyond 3-5 minutes, & finally the expertise, kindness and great bedside manners of all parties involved (Dr King & Gilda). After having no other option than to take our daughter to CHOP urgent care in KOP when her fever reached over 102F during after hours last night and the poor care and exceedingly long wait times we experienced has confirmed this even more. Please continue your awesome practice in our area!
Dr. King is awesome, he has a great bedside manner, he is experienced and knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen and answer questions at every visit. Never seems rushed. He has a very gentle manner during the exam, and my son really doesn't get scared. I have called with questions and gotten a call back within a few hours. He is just as patient and resourceful on the phone. The office has same day appointments, and we were able to be seen every time we needed. The other important thing is the office providers takes overnight calls themselves, so we always spoke with Dr. King or his partners; our calls were never forwarded to a hospital nurse or urgent care line. Lastly, when we were moving from Philly to another city, Dr. King was so gracious to tell us we can call with questions any time during the transition period before we find another pediatrician. Dedication!
My wife and I were very excited about meeting Dr. King for an introductory visit given that the Chestnut street practice is only a few minutes from our house. We read the reviews that we should look past the administrative staff, but it turned out not to be so easy. My wife called and asked to set up a visit. The admin said we should drop in at any time as long as we were mindful of their lunch from 1-2 pm. My wife then called back a second time to ensure that Friday would be an ok day to come in. I took the day off of work in order to make the visit. When we arrived, the admin seemed surprised by our presence. She then went to speak to Dr. King and returned to say that he was too busy to meet with us and we should try to call him on the phone. We requested that we just set up a specific time to come back in but she said that wouldn't be possible. I'm sure all the reviews here from anyone lucky enough to actually get past the front door are accurate, but I am still in shock over the utter lack of organization and patient on-boarding process. I've never run across such a poorly run medical office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
