Medexpress Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

Great staff

Went on a Saturday for an ear ache from likely sinus infection. The girl at desk for some reason couldn't confirm my insurance. Instead of taking my insurance information and billing it to the insurance as most places would, they wanted me to pay out of pocket. If they bill it to the insurance and they don't pay the claim, they still have my credit card on file that they could bill. I said don't bother. I'd rather not give them my business. Though not this specific med express, my dad went to Med Express to get treatment and they missed diagnosing his legionaires disease. He ended up dying from the disease.

Where do I even begin? I had to get a physical done for my employer. First of all, this location has some great employees, Becky to name one. She did my TB test last week and was super nice and accommodating. I went back for the rest of my physical today 3/13. The doctor was great and explained to me that my paperwork that needed filled out for my job would be at the front desk. Simple right? I thought, but was very wrong. The dark haired woman at the front was extremely rude and when I showed her that signatures were missing, she kept informing me that “the doctor doesn’t do that here”. I was confused, being that many staff from my job have come here and gotten their paperwork completed. I asked her if I could speak to the doctor or another nurse and she declined, saying they were all too busy or with someone. Needless to say, I had to drive 40 minutes to the Mars location to get my paperwork signed. Had to get another physical completed taking 3 hours of my time total. They were baffled at how I was treated and said there was NO reason why they couldn’t have signed my paperwork. I would avoid this Chippewa location at all costs and have already filed a complaint with Corporate.

Worst service ever. Only one person in front of us and we were there for 2 1/2 hours and nothing was done. This place either needs to close down or get more staff it’s not fair to the patients and if they are understaffed, it’s not fair to the staff either. You are better off going to the hospital and sitting in the emergency room, then to waste your time going here.

If I could rate this facility a zero I would. For a "quick express care" I waited almost 2 hours for care was prescribed something I'm not comfortable taking. Called back to see if I could have something different which didn't seem to be a problem with them and they told me they would send it to the pharmacy. This is now day 3 of them NOT sending it to the pharmacy. Everytime I call to see if the script has been sent to the pharmacy yet they tell me they are really busy and they haven't had a chance to send it to the pharmacy when the doctor has a chance he will send it which I told them that's the same thing I was told yesterday how do I know that it's actually going to be sent and her answer was keep calling back. I have no faith that this script is actually going to get sent to the pharmacy and that I am going to have to go somewhere else before this condition gets any worse. I will never recommend nor come back to this location for care.

It was 150 dollars with insurance for them to tell me they werent sure what was wrong.

I went there this morning for what I believed was an infection in my finger. They weren’t real busy when I got there. The ladies at the desk were very nice and professional as was my nurse. The PA who came in checked me out and did the procedure that I had believed would need done she was very nice and explained everything to me about what she was going to do and how to care fore my wound afterwards. They called my pharmacy to check on a certain medication that I was on so as to not over medicate me. I had a very good experience here and I would highly recommend them.

Took my son in over the weekend, pay $75 for the normal “it’s a virus” response but the PA stated that it might be a sinus infection and she was working all week to call her if it gets worse. It gets much worse… call, she won’t call in medicine but asks us to come back. The tried to charge us $75 again. Now I see why Heritage Valley Walk-in always has such a long wait. MedExpress wants to keep charging for incompetence and misdiagnosis. Never again! Unprofessional… will not go back even if it were free.

Went here to get a chest xray done for work purposes but was refused. The reason-they can’t do it because they can’t read and interpret the results.

I would give zero stars if I could. I called to get my daughter in because she was displaying symptoms of a UTI, they closed registration for 30 minutes & I was told to call back, so I did just that. I literally was calling & calling for 20 minutes. We had already been waiting a half hour to be registered & I couldn't get ahold of anyone for another 20 minutes, my daughter is only 7 years old & had been holding her urine so she would be able to give a urine sample, so I walk in because she couldn't hold it anymore, the woman at the front desk was absolutely rude from the minute I walked in. She was questioning why I had come in when I wasn't called & I told her I was calling for over 20 minutes with no luck & she rudely told me it was just her and someone else there answering the phones. OK, I get that people are understaffed, but 20 minutes not answering the phone is super frustrating. I am an understanding person and don't like conflict, but this woman up front was really just rude. I then proceeded to ask her if she was able to give the a urine sample right now because she really had to go & sometimes when she's put on the spot to pee, she can't, so I thought it would be ok just to take the sample, but again I was let down and she told me she couldn't give a sample unless she was registered, but I've only been trying for 20+ minutes to get her registered!! I completely understand the situation right now with being understaffed, but the way she came at me from the very beginning was not needed. I left & didn't even give them my service. I will NEVER come back to this location again.
