Daniel Hodges's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Hodges for a hysterectomy. At first, he told me there was no way I was getting it done and I could just get another IUD under sedation. My then-current IUD was causing me pain and I couldn't use other forms of birth control. I didn't want kids, and I had heavy, irregular periods. I never knew when the next one would start. 9 days later? 3 weeks later? 2 months later? Anyway, I left his office sobbing. A week later, his receptionist called me and asked why I left without filling out the paperwork for surgery. I told her I was denied, and she told me he changed his mind. I wondered if she had something to do with it! ------ I get the surgery done. It went okay, and when I went in for post-surgery follow up, he walked in, asked who I was, flipped through my file, and shrugged. "I see no reason in the report that you needed the surgery. See your family doctor in 5 years for a vault check." He didn't ask how I was feeling or ask to check the work he did. I am so glad I will never have to see him again. AWFUL PATIENT TREATMENT, MYSOGYNISTIC, UNKIND, AND DISMISSIVE OF LEGITIMATE CONCERNS.

Dr.Hodges helped me with intervention surgery on my cervix and my ovary and tubes. he always listened to my concerns and helped me thru every procedure. my grandson was also lucky to have him thru the pregnancy of my daughter in law 9 yrs ago.

I have been seeing Hodges for Pain relief for years. At first he seemed willing to help, but over time he reduced my pain medication 3 times with no concern for how it affected me - he claimed he was required to reduce the medication due to "government regulations"- but never asked if he I needed additional assistance. He NEVER spent more than 2 minutes with me during quarterly visits, never asked how I was managing the pain - his favorite closing remarks were "we'll keep you going" - all the while, my pain got worse, and he could care less !!On my last visit on March 31, 2022, he was not there (he was never there at least 30 % of the time) - I was required to see his new "Physician Assistance" who left me waiting alone in an examination cubical for 1 WHOLE HOUR - neither the PA nor his 2 nurses bothered to check on me! When I complained to the nurses, one simply ignored me the other smirked as if to say "so what." When the PA finally came in to see me, she asked me what medication and dosage I was taking as she could not understand the protocol from my records and chart - after I explained what the regime was, she still got it wrong on her prescription. The repeated apathy shown to me by Hodges and his nurses over the years, topped off by the indifference his staff exhibited to me at my last visit has finally convinced me to find a reputable pain management doctor. If you go to Hodges, don't say you weren't warned.

He was my OB for all 3 of my pregnancies and made sure I was 100% assured and cared for

Dr. Hodges was my doctor for my first pregnancy and It was definitely a great experience! He didn't get to deliver my baby but he checked up on me during his rounds that same day. His staff in the office were awesome as well, very friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Hodges and his staff were terrific and helped me to feel at ease and comfortable. Dr. Hodges was very knowledgeable and I felt I was in very competent and skilled hands under his care.

I was terrified and he put my mind at ease with his knowledge and professionalism.

21 years ago Dr. Hodges was my God send just by being the GYN on call. I was in Royal Alex with another health issue and in extreme pain from Endo. My attending doctor called him to see me. He had no problems agreeing with my plan for a hysterectomy. Four weeks later I was in the OR and have never looked back. He was a great surgeon and remembered me years later when we met casually at the food court in the Alex.

I had a surgical intervention which dr. Hodges did a few years back. He was extremely gentle, made sure I felt comfortable and he answered all of my questions. Went back for a check-up few weeks ago and had the same experience. His staff is also great - everything was on time!

I had my mono- mono twins with him. He was very relaxed through the whole process ( sometimes too relax for my liking but he was super knowledgeable about all my questions.) I had multiple ultra sounds, he was always very concerned about how I was feeling at all times, he had me on in home bed rest for as long as possible( they where amazing too) When my twins where born and in the NICU he let me stay for the full three day recovery. Then I had my third daughter with him and was considering getting my tubes tied, he was open to the idea and talk to me thoroughly about the procedure and left the option open to me when the time came to my C-section. I opted out and I am having my fourth and final child with him and I now am looking at having the tubes pulled as an option and he said either procedure will work but now that it is getting closer to my date I will have a more thorough conversation. He is always cheerful, respectful and relatable every time I see him. The staff are super helpful and I find that the wait time is reasonable but does vary sometimes (I could be in a room in ten minutes and other times it was 1.5 hours.) I do find it hard to call them but also feel that my family doctor is worst. but as always with all doctors you do have to voice your opinions and state your mind as you know yourself best.
