Gregory F Carolan's Online Review Report Card

I had a shoulder surgery years back done by Dr. Carolan. Would rave about him taking my pain away to whoever would ask how I was doing. Due to an insurance change, plus move to PA, I just recently was able to return to him. He's very personable and I don't find myself second guessing what he's told me. Excellent doctor who I sincerely trust.

He is the most arrogant, narcissistic doctor i have ever experienced. He didn't want to do a surgery on my shoulder because I was not an 'ideal' patient for him to do the first one of its kind. He was offended that I got a second opinion with a doctor he is intimidated by because the new doctor offered to do the procedure Carolan refused to do. He literally yelled at me and told me he didn't know what procedure I was talking about, which HE had told me about a month earlier.

He is the most arrogant, non-compassionate, narcissistic doctor I've ever met. He told me that he had determined that I was not eligible for a procedure because he is not authorized to do it and won't sign off on someone else doing it. He made me cry and didn't even care.

First review I left was removed for some reason. I was only telling the truth. This guy will not spend the time necessary to properly diagnose. Find another orthopedic surgeon. Hopefully this review will be accepted

I have been seeing Dr. Carolan since 2017 for both shoulders. He does not rush to surgery. He exhausts all other treatments. Unfortunate for me a total shoulder replacement was done. There are issues with it, but by no fault of his...the issues are all on me. I highly recommend him. I saw the negative review, but do not agree! Doc has a great sense of humor! If you do not agree with him, get another opinion, instead of trashing him!

Dr Carolan performed a reverse shoulder replacement more than 1-1/2 years ago and I continue to have pain. I've attempted to discuss it with him yet he doesn't listen - he only talks. When *he* was done talking, he turned and began to walk out the exam room door (I had no examination). I said, "wait, I wish to be very specific about my pain and the location." He turned his back, walked out and closed the door behind him. His arrogance is appalling.

He is very through and explains every detail in depth. Very easy to understand.'

Dr. Carolan is a fantastic physician. He performed a reconstructive surgery on my shoulder for a torn labrum. Explained everything thoroughly pre- and post-op, and the surgery, recovery and long rehab went about as well as I could have ever hoped or imagined. He was patient while answering my and my family's questions, clearly passionate about his job and obviously highly capable and intelligent. He is an extraordinary doctor specific to his specialty within orthopedics. Would recommend him a million times over.
