List of Bartholomew R Bono's Reviews
He explains your treatment clearly. He has a very polite bedside manner. He take time with his patients. He General genuine care about his patients. I would recommend him.
Dr. Bono consulted on my hospital care. Had I known that he & his group practice did not take calls in the evenings and on the week-ends, I would not have decided to have been admitted to Bryn Mawr Hospital. Less than 48 hrs after I was discharged, and on a Saturday morning, I had an adverse reaction to the antibiotic in oral form, and I had no one to call for help. His bedside manner is terse, but he is knowledgeable. But, it is because of the above scenario, with inadequate antibiotic coverage, that I had to be admitted a second time 10 days later because of recurrence of the infection. I deliberately chose a hospital where a different group practice that DID have on-call coverage for evenings and week-ends within this specialty was available, in case I had another problem.
On every visit, both in the hospital and at his office, he made sure he answered every question I asked and made sure I understood his answers. He also made sure that I was aware of all the implications of the treatment he was recommending.
My husband was recommended by Bryn Mawr hospital. He was told to schedule with him ASAP. It was a Sunday so we thought he could call and try to schedule for Monday. Dr. Bono rudely told him he couldn't help him and hung up on him. Monday, he is told the earliest they could see him is Thursday. He was told they would call him back once the doctor saw his paperwork. No one bothered to call back. Bryn Mawr may want to look into someone who is not so blatantly rude to referred patients.
Very knowledgeable and thorough. He listens well and answers questions. I am a caregiver for a person with a complex neurological disease, and Dr. Bono was well prepared to address our concerns.
Dr. Bono was consulted for my 93 year-old mother who had a persistent case of cellulitis of the leg. After seeing 2 previous doctors, she wound up in the hospital and we were lucky enough to get Dr. Bono as an Infectious Disease Consultant. His interest, commitment and intelligence enabled her to get the best treatment. We also followed up with him in his office and will continue under his excellent care. My mother said that was the best doctor's visit she ever had . So lucky to have found him!!
Terrible bedside manner. When my son called for results of his lab tests, his response was appalling. Is he a good physician? To use Dr. Bono's own words you've got to be kidding me. My advice, run away and stay away. Probably got his medical degree at a Vegas raffle.
Has a God complex. Thinks he's glib. Horrible experience. Deserves zeros.
I went to see Dr. Bono for a serious infection that my doctor and another infectious disease specialist were unable to help me with. First, he was very prompt and spent an adequate time with me. He accurately diagnosed my condition & implemented an effective treatment. I am glad to have found a competent doctor that I can rely on when I am having a health crisis.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
