Worst experience ever! Never would recommend this hospital!

I had a kidney biopsy and was is severe pain during it- I was told I was just more sensitive than the average patient. Although I felt shooting nerve pain into my groin during the procedure. It was an incredibly shaming and horrific experience to go through- nobody went over my health history in detail- I had a small hematoma and was in pain when I left and told it might take 72 hours to recover. I began to feel numbness over my skin in that area down and around over my hip the next day and it’s related to pressure changes with my kidney emptying and filling- I was afraid to call because I was told I was so unusual- but finally did 3 days after the procedure. I was told they never heard of it therefore I should be ok because if something was really bad my pain would be getting worse?? They expected me to feel better by this somehow although there was no logic in that statement how could they predict anything about something they know nothing about and actually that side effect has been documented and just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean you can make it disappear. This is a terrible experience and this wasn’t even when I called my nephrologist to explain and nobody was listening doctors are scary because they just go by some checklist-people aren’t task lists and things happen stop being complacent and get curious

This hospital is out for money. Took my son to the ER(1 year old) where the doctor / nurses didn’t even take his temperature the 4 hours we were there. The doctor did not physically touch him or run any tests, they gave us Benadryl and sent us on our way. I later went to CHOP who actually evaluated him, paid attention to us and were not dismissive and instead of telling me “he’s a baby of course he’s fussy” gave us medicine to make him feel better. The bill I received after insurance for little to no care from Bryn Mawr was $1,088. I had multiple conversations with “patient advocate”( a joke, they don’t advocate for you at all) and then the assistant manager to patient advocate services who basically read the medical records to me over and over again as their justification for these charges. Do yourselves a favor and take the extra time / drive to CHOP if you have a little one who is sick.

Hospital is still doesn't care or done anything to improve care for mental health no matter how many times you complain you are not allowed to or allowed to get upset because they get mad at you for sticking up for the person who needs help and they just release the patient even if they are not safe for them self or others one day someone is gonna die because of there negligence

I almost died post-delivery from the inadequate care I received at Bryn Mawr Hospital. The hospital and my physician (Dr. Castelli) performed my c-section knowing my hemoglobin was severely low and put my life at risk. No one listened to my concerns and 7 days post-delivery I ended up back in the hospital with heart failure, fluid in my lungs, and required two blood transfusions. DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE!

Underserving the Psychiatric Community right here! Way to Go Dr Jones, discharging a patient prematurely. Huge lack of judgement and lack of psychiatric knowledge. I can only pray they don't make national news. Should they harm themselves or someone else, this is on you Dr Jones and the public will know.

Brought to the hospital with splenic injury and internal bleeding. Placed on strong pain medication. Treatment plan discussed with me while totally out of it. My husband never consulted on anything. No communication from surgeon who was assigned to me. First attempt to stop the bleeding failed. Husband still not notified before or after 2nd attempt was tried. After 5 days in ICU Discharged on Tylenol and cried for 2 weeks in extreme pain. No communication with family at all. Horrible discharge instructions. Still struggling with pain and side effects.

To be realistic with pain management

If you want to be treated like a drug addict no matter what you go in for!, Go here! They will be happy to not listen to you, drug test you when they have given you medicine in the ER that will test you positive, and they told you they were testing for thyroid, and they will then admit you for a heart rate racing (tachycardia) but discharge you with the same issue without doing any further work up because the “monitor” people said it it did the same thing all night. This place is not what is was and I will NEVER go back here and neither will ANY of my family members.
