Clarke U Piatt's Online Review Report Card

I am a newer patient and so far I like how everything is going. He explains everything and shows me on the computer if I don't understand since I haven't used a cpap machine that long.

Dr. Piatt was fantastic! He took the time to talk to me and listen to my questions. I felt at ease when I left his office, knowing I was in good hands. The office staff was pleasant and kind. I would definitely recommend him to others!

Very helpful and knowledgable navigating the equipment system, answers all questions in a relaxed manner so you don't feel rushed. I highly recommend him.

thanks to Dr Piatt and staff who helped us through times, always gave us the time and support we needed during the worst of my illness, now back to living life!

My first contact with this doctor was by telecall on a referral from my primary care doctor. He was 15 minutes late getting onto the call and during the call I could tell he was reviewing my medical history & records as we went along. He then told me to continue taking the prescription my primary care doctor had prescribed and to come see him in 3 months for further review. I arrived for the scheduled appointment after the 3 months and after 30 minutes of waiting, his nurse came out and in essence, asked what I was there to see Dr. Piatt for. I explained it to her and then waited another 15 minutes before asking the front desk what was going on. They did not know why he was running so late or how soon I would see him. At this point, I had no confidence in this doctor (based on our telecall and his continued lateness) so I left. There are so many qualified choices out there in the Philadelphia area that I didn't feel I needed to be uncomfortable with this referred doctor.

I’ve never posted a review of a physicians office before and never expected to, but this is the worst administrative experience I’ve had. If you want an endless bureaucratic nightmare involving outdated technology and zero help, this is your place.

I saw another doctor in this practice, and decided I'd prefer to see a woman doctor, made an appointment with Dr. Catherine Riley, and was called by the office and told that Dr. Riley was not taking on any new patients, which is patently untrue, as the Main Line "Find A Doctor" website specifically states that Dr. Riley IS taking on new patients! Guess she didn't want to see me for whatever reason. Not very nice... (Thumbs down for this practice)! Also, this practice has no doctors on call, so if you have a question about your meds, or any kind of a minor emergency, their emergency line states, "go straight to the nearest ER"! Obviously not very caring about their patients. Not a very nice procedure, particularly for a pulmonologist's office, where patients are having trouble breathing, and, frankly, I've never heard of not having ANY doctors on call, in ANY doctor's office, this is the first time I've run into it!

I don't often comment online but I have to express my gratitude to Dr Piatt and his staff for the care they have provided my wife. We had been given a rough diagnosis just 2 years ago but I am happy to report my wife remains disease and symptom free. He always has spent the time we needed in the office and gave us access to the advanced options which have made the difference in getting her better. Can't thank Dr Piatt and his office enough.

Dr. Piatt may be a perfectly fine physician however my experience was not one deserving a great review. I went in as a referral from my PCP. We sat down, discussed my issues, he shrugged his shoulders, said it could be this or could be that or could be nothing, and that was the entire visit. Fine by me if that is truly the case but being billed $270.00 for him to give me absolutely zero medical advice... this is the most dissatisfied I have been with a physician in a long time and I would recommend going to a different practice.

During my appointment (which I was billed $270 for and lasted ~10 minutes) I was given no beneficial information for my issue (sleep). Dr. Piatt shrugged his shoulders, said it could be this or that or it could be nothing... I could have gotten that advice from anyone on the street and not been billed so ridiculously for it. I would not recommend him to family or friends due to giving me no helpful information and wasting a good chunk of money.
