List of Laurence D Fine's Reviews
Avoid being seen by this doctor; the other negative reviews that you read about Dr. FIne are absolutely correct. He does demonstrate a lack of empathy and a lack of any real concern; he does not show respect for the concerns of the patient.I've had three appointments with Dr. Fine and I was foolish for not seeking a different doctor after my first visit with him. Each of the times that I've seen Dr Fine, he was reluctant to entertain my questions and rushed me out of the appointment; He seemed annoyed and was very short with me.During my last appointment he seem particularly stressed and overwhelmed. Once again, I needed Dr Fine to explain exactly what my test results meant and what I could possibly do improve my condition. He gave condescending and sarcastic responses to my questions and concerns; I left the appointment knowing less about my situation then when I arrived.

If I could give Dr. Laurence Fine a zero or negative I would. He lacks empathy doesn't explain anything, I suffered a stroke. I lost the ability to effectively communicate verbal and written. I get numbers and letters mixed up, my profession is a dean at a very prestigious college. He wrote in my report that I can return back to work 2 weeks after I suffered a stroke. I was in the hospital for 5 days, my ability to keep my balance and pick up objects diminished. When asked why he would send me back to work 2 weeks later, he stated "for the type of work that you do I figured you could go back full time." I was shocked that he would use his "expert opinion" to tell me the person who suffered the stroke that I can work. Even though I was unable to communicate. He then suggested in my appointment today, that I try Worknet occupational I asked him what is worknet he said, (verbatim) "do you know how to use google" I advised him I am an educator and dean at a school of course I know how to use google, he then said "well then google it."At that point I advised him that you are being extremely rude and condescending and I'm done with this appointment. He said okay and I left, I'm reporting him to my insurance company as well as the insurance commissioner. He's been this way since my first visit but since I have this brain problem I stuck with him. I realizing that he is not beneficial to my progress of getting better I'm finding a new doctor.
Dr Fine is a fantastic Dr and an US Army veteran as well. He moves very quickly every time I’m there and has answered every question I have ever asked of him! He is helping me with my migraines and my brain injury as well! Thank you Dr Fine
Dr. Fine is "fine." When I was having mysterious neurological symptoms he was dismissive and barely listened to me when I tried to share my symptoms, past medical history, etc. All the reviews I had read seemed true and I left feeling defeated. However, the next day my symptoms became emergent and I called him on through the on call line and he did everything right - admitted me into the hospital, ran all kinds of tests, and found *a* (maybe not *the*) cause of my symptoms. I will not be returning, I do not trust his medical judgement nor do I want him to be my provider, but he did technically do what no other doctor had done to date which was take me seriously enough to admit me into hospital and look for the cause of my symptoms. However, he did nothing to facilitate a set appointment with another provider, as he had promised. So I'd avoid if you can, but he does have the ability to work well in a crisis I guess.
I have been visiting his office with my younger brother, who is a patient and we have found him to be extremely friendly and concerned and competent. We both like Dr. Fine a lot.
Poor. He had no time for me while I was hospitalized. Never even gave me my results of the tests he ran.
I would give 0 stars if possible. I previously saw Dr. Richard Eisner, who was incredible, but unfortunately for me, he retired - I was then transferred over as a patient of Dr. Fine. I went for my yearly appointment and was charged $207 as a NEW PATIENT, even though I’ve gone to that practice for several years. After doing some research and speaking with my primary doctor, I found that legally, this office cannot bill me as a “new patient”.In fall of 2020, I called the office and the receptionist insisted that the $207 must be paid - After letting her know this was illegal, she put me on a long hold and then let me know that it was their mistake and she will be sending the revised statement/amount. Now, mid April of 2021, I received the “revised” statement which has $220 now listed as the initial amount (opposed to the $207 I was previously charged), and a deduction of $75.Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning. This is an unlawful practice and they will take advantage of patients, especially during these difficult, unprecedented times. I will be sure to share this story with all of my friends/family.
If 0 stars was an option I would give him 0 stars

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
