This was my first time visiting. I was greeted with a warm welcome from my check in and my examination by Dr. Poornima Kumar. She was empathetic to my needs. She took her time, and evaluated all of my concerns. I'm so glad that I chose to come here. I would highly recommend this practice.
This was a 1st. appt. For my son he said everything was good , nice Dr ,easy parking ...Dr had to call him in a prescription n unfortunately when we were contacted by pharmacist it was not covered by his ins.( $600.00) ummm sorry but gotta find a second medication covered by ins.
No wait, very attentive and thorough visit. So happy to have Sylvan as my dermatologist!
I’ve had multiple frustrating experiences with this practice, and at this point I wouldn’t recommend it. When you schedule online, it clearly says you’re booked with Dr. Meyerle. However, every time I’ve gone, I’ve never actually been seen by him. Instead, I’m seen by another woman who has never introduced herself or explained her role. That alone feels uncomfortable, especially when prescriptions are later sent under Dr. Meyerle’s name, even though he didn’t evaluate me. The office also seems very disorganized. During one visit, I showed up on time for my appointment and was told by the lady that she couldn’t find me in the system. I had to pull up my confirmation email and message to prove I had an appointment. Even then, she was confused. Eventually, Dr. Meyerle came out and said it was probably because I had a $75 no-show fee on my account. What bothered me most is that I was never told about this fee beforehand. I was able to book the appointment with no issue, received confirmation, and showed up on time, yet was only informed about the fee once I was already there. I ended up having to pay it on the spot just to be seen. That kind of lack of communication is really frustrating and feels unfair to patients. I continued going there only because they accept my insurance and they are not too far from where I live. But my final experience was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I had another appointment scheduled and needed to cancel due to travel. I used their automated system exactly as instructed “replying “3” to cancel” and I did so more than 24 hours in advance.” I received an automated message saying the appointment could not be canceled at that time. After that, I called multiple times with no answer and left a voicemail. About an hour later, Dr. Meyerle called me back and told me I would be charged another $75 cancellation fee. I explained that I had used their system and could provide proof, but he insisted he didn’t see anything on his end. Even after I offered to send proof, I never got a clear answer about whether the fee would still be charged. When I asked if I could reschedule, he told me no because they were currently seeing patients, and then abruptly hung up without offering to call me back or help in any way. At this point, I’ve completely given up on Sylvan Dermatology. My experiences there have been so frustrating that I’d honestly rather pay out of pocket somewhere else than continue dealing with the lack of communication, organization, and basic respect I’ve experienced here.
This doctor is a really Terrible human being! I left a message with the office for someone to please call me about a possible complication with my pending first visit. This doctor called me. He instantly lied to me, and acted openly hostile. He told me he was going to cancel my appointment. At first I resisted, but after his continued belligerence, I agreed with him. I became happy he did cancel my appointment. He has a very real personality disorder.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
