Turner Dermatology's Online Review Report Card

I seriously don't know how I haven't written this review. First, some back story. In 2011 my dad was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive skin cancer. About 3,000 people worldwide are diagnosed with this every year. Anyhow we're fortunate to be in Philly where there is world class medicine, and he's a retired Union telephone worker which meant his health insurance was good. What does this have to do with Dr. Turner? Good question. Many of the doctors who took care of my dad were very specialized. When I asked if they'd look at a spot on my skin, they said no, because they don't see routine skin issues. Instead, his team sent me to Dr. Turner. I've been seeing her ever since. Her office is on the ground floor of a professional building near Bryn Mawr Hospital. Easy to get to and plenty of parking in their rear lot, which is also the building main entrance. Her office is clean and bright, her staff friendly and she's very easy to talk to, especially when I'm always secretly terrified I'll also get a rare cancer like dad (not hereditary). I would recommend her for medical dermatology in a heartbeat. I don't use any cosmetic skin care so I can't peak to that.

I have been a patient of Dr. Turners since moving from New York 13 years ago. Dr. Turner is truly one of the most caring, competent and all around wonderful dermatologists I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I have had a variety of skin concerns and she always addresses them promptly, and with extreme care. The staff is always friendly and welcoming - and I’m so glad I chose her as my dermatologist. My entire family comes here and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

2 years ago I was seen 3 times over 4 months. The 3rd visit, I finally saw Dr Turner. She did a punch biopsy on an area near my ankle to better diagnose a skin condition. 2 days later the biopsy site was inflamed, hot to the touch and very painful. I called the office and was told I couldn't be seen for 2 weeks. I ended up at urgent care the next day and prescribed antibiotics. Waiting 2 weeks could have had serious consequences. I don't know if it was the doctor or the front desk staff who made the decision to make me wait, but either way I will never go back.

Michela has helped me correct my melasma with a series of VI peels over the last two years. I was initially very concerned about putting chemicals on my face but Michela patiently walked me through the entire process and answered all of my questions, before and after the treatment. She has always recommended what is most appropriate for the health of my skin and has helped me to correct and now maintain my melasma, making me feel more like myself again!

This was a very well organized, efficient and professional office. Going to a dermatologist can be a frightening experience, however, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable which added to the positive feeling of the visit. They responded quickly with my test results and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Turner Dermatology.

I have always had the best experience here. I have been a patient for years. The team always goes above and beyond to help and adjust what is needed to get the care needed. I would never go anywhere else. The best around!!

Wonderful first visit! Easily made an appointment and didn't have to wait weeks to get in. Check in was simple and Doctor saw me on schedule! Dr. Santa was lovely and addressed my concern without needing a second visit. Highly recommend, including Michela for any aesthetician needs!

I started coming to Turner Dermatology a little over a year ago for my routine skin checks. Everyone is kind and the providers are very informative. I would definitely recommend this practice!
