Dr Oplinger was pleasant, efficient and professional. He explained my X-ray and we discussed it. He listened to me and accepted my decision. I will return to him if necessary with any concerns.

Entire process, from the initial consultation to the rece 6 week follow up, was friendly, informative, and professional at all levels. After my first meeting with Dr. Oplinger, I was confident that he was the best choice to do my surgery. The surgery results, post surgery advice and recovery process have exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Oplinger has done 4 joint replacements for me. A few months ago I had a total knee replacement. Two weeks ago my knee became very painful. I was afraid of an infection. He was able to see me the day I called. After examining my knee, he determined I did not have an infection. He asked if I had any changes in my health. I told him I’m on an antibiotic for a toe infection. Upon learning the antibiotic he stated that a possible side effect of that antibiotic is joint pain. That seemed weird to me. I researched the drug and learned that one of the common side effects is joint pain. A friend commented that Dr. Oplinger was very astute to recognize that drug may be causing my pain. His recommendation of OTC pain medication kept the pain manageable until I finished the antibiotic and gave it my body a chance to recover. I am extremely confident in his skill as a surgeon. Now I’m confident in his ability to determine other issues that affect your health.

Recently I had a reverse shoulder replacement surgery performed by Dr. Oplinger; I could not be more pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Both before and after the procedure Dr. Oplinger was very attentive to my questions, as well as those of my family. I would have no hesitation to recommend Dr. Oplinger to anyone requiring orthopedic surgery. If ever I would need to have more orthopedic surgery I would definitely seek him out again.

I saw Dr. Opplinger 3 times. Each time the wait while in the exam room was excessive. He provides superficial care—he is just checking you off the list and collecting his paycheck. He and his office also are not accommodating about submitting scripts/referrals via fax to your insurance as most providers do automatically. Do your research and select a provider and office that supports the patient and cares.

I had a double knee replacement in 2013. It was a great transformation in my ability to do things without pain. Dr. Oplinger and staff did a great Job. Carlisle Hospital was great also.

Dr. Oplinger repaired my shoulder several years ago when no one else said it could be repaired. I am in the construction industry and am going on 60, my shoulder feels like when I was young. I would highly recommended him.

Saw Dr. Oplinger to relieve arthritis in my foot. Gave me predizone to take for a period of 6 days. Still had pain so I saw him again and he gave me a cortisone shot. I had told him that Medrol always helped me in the past but insisted on the predizone. " ITS THE SAME MEDICATION HE TELLS ME". Well guess what, it did not work well for me!!! Even after getting the cortisone shot, , I am still having foot problems. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!!!! He doesn't listen and is truly uncaring to patients!!!!!!!

I suffer severe pain and inflamation of my right knee and a bit of it in the left knee. So far, I assume Dr. Oplinger's diagnosis is accurate because the cortisone shots work and I'm pain free for about 11 - 12 months now.
