Best experience one can have getting a colonoscopy. Kind, empathetic, caring man. He took time both before and after procedure to explain everything and ask if I had any questions or concerns. The whole medical staff was amazing. Thank you for such a great experience!!
Very patient and took time explaining everything.
I went here once when I was 16. I had what I now know to be chronic IBS-D. I’m not sure if the exact date but it was in August 2016 so here we go. The second this guy opens the door and looks down on me sitting in the chair in the office, I knew this wasn’t going to go well. For some reason I just got a terrible first impression. So he sits down and we start talking about how this condition is giving me anxiety and the anxiety is making the problem worse. School was starting soon and I had no idea how I was gonna go in with this problem. He fully sat there and said to my mom as if I weren’t even there: “oh she’s goin to school, even if we have to put a cork in her.” YES. HE JOKED THAT ID HAVE TO PUT A CORK IN MY BUTT. Then he sat there and told my mom she needed to step up and force me to go to school and have a normal life, whether I had diarrhea in my pants in public or not basically. He didn’t even begin to examine me or even have me sit on the exam table. He just sat and said “the problems not with her GI tract, it’s with her anxiety. Get her to a psychiatrist.” We asked if I could have IBS medication or SOMETHING to help me and he gave us nothing. When we left my mom was trying to be optimistic and asked what I thought. I said it was SUCH a waste of time and a waste of my energy to get myself out of the house with all the problems I had. I told her I was absolutely not going back. We ended up going to my pediatrician I still had at the time and he sent me to a pediatric gastroenterologist and he was FANTASTIC. I’m 19 now and too old to see him anymore and am going through the process of finding a new doctor. It certainly will not be this guy or anyone else at that practice. I wouldn’t trust him to examine my animals let alone me or my child if I had one. If you have a child or you’re under 18, look up Dr. Qureshi in Carlisle. That’s where you should go. -J
I’ve often recommended Dr Lacey to family & friends.
He's an excellent Dr. Would not think of going to any other
Dr Lacey is by far the best Gastroenterologist in the Harrisburg Area
Dr. Lacey is excellent in my book! He found my husbands lung cancer 17 yrs ago and I was so grateful for the time we had left , he is a wonderful Dr. with a great bedside manner I would definitely recommend him.
Another doctor that cant see a critical patient soon but having to wait weeks, They don't care about patient care just revenue. Front office staff no common sense.
I trust Dr Lacey very much with my health care. He is professional and does a wonderful job. He is right when he says it takes more time and effort to get ready for the colonoscopy than getting the actual thing done. Excellent.
Dr Lacey is simply THE BEST GI doctor I've seen - and I've seen a few. I had an EGD with him and it was the easiest procedure I've had done. He was there for me through sedation - a very reassuring&calming gesture during such an unnerving procedure as being put under. My throat did not hurt after the EGD he performed, unlike other EGDs I've had before. Appointments & staff: I was late once: they accommodated me; got to see the doctor within minutes of arrival; billing answered promptly. A-OK.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
