South Hills Eye Associates Ltd's Online Review Report Card

I can’t believe what happened to me at this practice today. I have significant facial injury around my right eye with a laceration above my right eye from a fall that occurred three days ago. I’ve been to my PCP and have had CT scans of the face and brain. Everything is OK but to be complete I need an exam of the back of my eye. I am a physician and I was referred by a retired ophthalmologist to this practice to have this done. My husband is a patient in this practice. Today is November 20, 2025. They refused to give me an appointment until January because I would be new. I don’t think that this type of injury can wait until January to be evaluated. I even said that I would take an appointment anytime within the next week. The person at the window even called the office manager who refused to fit me in. I asked about a slot for a sick patient and I was told that I can’t have any of those because I am new. If I had run my practice like this, I would’ve been fired.

This is the most incompetent office staff my wife has ever used. She made an appointment for 10/2/25, took time off work, and paid for parking only to be told they this morning in their office that they cancelled her appointment. The girl at the counter stated; "Oh we didn't call you??? Yeah I don't see any record that we called you". Stay away from this group. Don't waste your time.

I was looking for a doctor who could help me with my eyes so I could get better so I’m going to call and make an appointment

Changed my appointment date but didn't tell me it was in a different office. Wasted my time..and didn't care

The M.D. won’t do eye checkups anymore.

Good luck getting scheduled here. After waiting for months, they called & cancelled my appointment.. delaying my eye exam by another month which I was already stretching. I was understanding the first time because I have an aggressive work schedule where I can’t drop everything for a midday appointment, so I didn’t mind pushing it out. But to push it out again? For someone who wears contacts, I’d be out before my appointment.<br><br>Contact staff was not understanding. Decided it wasn’t worth the wait for this place because if they were rude over the phone, couldn’t imagine how they’d be in person.

I was referred to this place from my coworker. I usually never had great experiences with eye doctors. However, this place was wonderful! All of the staff were great. My doctor who did my eye exam was very personable. Then. when i went to pick out a frame, they were so helpful and patient. Now a few months later, my puppy chewed my glasses and they're getting me a new pair. I couldn't be happier!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!
