Do not come here for a routine eye exam because they don’t do routine exams. They also don’t tell you that in advance and will bill you for medical after your appointment. I called and asked to schedule a routine eye exam and they made an appointment for me anyway, billed it as medical afterwards and refused to change the insurance code. I was told for them to change it to a “routine eye exam” you must have a vision complaint which I didn’t since I was going in for a routine exam for the health of my eyeballs (??) The doctor was super nice during my appointment. This complaint is about communications with the staff in advance of making an appointment and followup billing. In response to the response from the owner: The services rendered at the appointment were not outside of what is typical from a routine eye exam. The doctor did not do anything above and beyond what my prior retired optometrist did in the past. Verbatim, the doctor said "I'm always happy to see healthy eyes" so I don't appreciate the insinuation that I "got more" out of the appointment. Explaining to me after the fact on the phone that you only do medical exams, instead of beforehand, is the exact cause for my complaint. Negligence is the issue, not intentional deceit. I believe this unfortunate situation is an oversight by the office that they are unwilling to take responsibility for and I have to literally pay for their mistake. I'm asking again that you please change your code as this is clearly not fraud.

I would use the male doctor in this practice as he seems to know the current best technology with cataract surgery. She clearly does not, unfortunately for me.

I have been treated by Dr. Walker and her staff for over 10 years. I was treated mostly for Glaucoma. I recently had a Cataract surgery in both of my eyes and I can see perfect now! I have only the highest compliments to her knowledge, professionalism and personality. Her office staff of nurses and support are standing out with their dedication, flexibility and professionalism!

I was very pleased with Dr. Walker. My eyes are great. My vision is great. Dr. Walker was always professional and efficient. I would recommend her to anyone.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Walker for 15 years. Dr. Walker removed my wives cataracts when we initially contacted her. These early procedures were extremely positive and set the stage for a long term relationship. Since then we have scheduled bi-annual visits to evaluate the status of our eye health. Earlier this year during a check up it was determined that it was time to have my cataracts removed. As always she was amazing. My wife and I have always been impressed with Dr. Walkers professional, and personal manor. She is an extremely skilled surgeon, yet caring and compassionate. Dr. Walker's personal patient service attitude permeates the entire staff. We will continue to recommend her to others as we have in the past and we have always received positive comments from those who have become one of her patients.

Dr. Walker performed cataract surgery on my right eye last April 2021 and on my left eye May 2022. I must say that I am so happy with the surgery. She is so professional as is her staff. I would recommend her to anyone. One surgery was performed at the York Road facility and the other was at the Fort Washington facility. Both were so immaculate. The staff at both locations were very friendly and very understanding.

Dr. Walker is amazing. When she told me I needed cataract surgery she was kind and compassionate and explained exactly what I would experience. She made me feel at ease right away. She is easy to talk to and really listens to your needs and concerns. The surgery was a success, and I just had my follow-up appointment with her today. I would highly recommend her! Just a note of thanks to Dr. Walker for taking such great care of me as well as her staff. I'm so thankful.

Dr Walker recently performed YAG laser treatment on one of my eyes and cataract surgery on the other- I had a great outcome on both procedures. Dr Walker, her staff and the Surgery Center did a wonderful job - Thank You.

Medical error was followed by the doctor's haughty and dismissive conduct.

Dr. Walker's cataract surgery left me quite disappointed. She refuses, ignores, and, strangely, blames me. When I go to another eye surgeon, I discover that I have to be scheduled to have the erroneous iol lens she implanted removed by a different eye surgeon.
