Your invoices arent clear, your invoices claim that i have been contacted by phone which is 100% wrong. Mercy should have given me an opportunity to chose a psychiatrist based on what i thought was reasonable, instead i was assigned to you.

I have been seeing Dr. Mangahas for over 5 years now and he is one of the best doctor's I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I would recommend him to anyone looking for behavioral assistance. Extremely friendly, makes himself available after hours, I have talked to him personally on several occasions when emergencies arose and he quickly solved my issues. Excellent doctor.

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Mangahas. His facial expressions, vocabulary and tone are highly condescending and come across very judgmental. He made me feel like an absolute nut case and managed to turn even the most mundane response into a huge deal. "Was a busy week at work and X person tried starting drama again, but all in all, it was a good week." His response... "So.... unable to manage stress, trouble with interpersonal relationships still..." ...Well that escalated quickly.

I was asked the same 5 or 6 questions over and over during 20 minute visits. He could never remember what medicine I was currently taking. He upped medicine in 6 straight visits, prescribed medicine 3x's recommended dosage according to webmd's website. Seemed rushed during visits. He did respond very well when returning a phone call and didn't seem rushed during it.

I think Dr. Mangahas is very attentive, listens and spends however much time I need to spend with him. I feel lucky to be a patient of a doctor that cares and wants to make my life better.

Dr. Mangahas diagnosed me with an unnamed "mood disorder" (which seems to be his favorite diagnosis based on other reviews and a fellow patient), and immediately prescribed a medication (Lamotrigine). My first appointment was shortly before my 21st birthday, so I asked him whether I should wait to take medication until after I had a few drinks that night. His reaction was that I should never have alcohol, and has brought that up at every meeting since, telling me how wrong it is to drink. He also heavily questions whether I will be getting pregnant, despite my assurances that I have taken many precautions to avoid an unplanned pregnancy. Overall, I feel like I am speaking with a computer that is programmed to question your every action. Dr. Mungahas is not someone I would recommend to anyone ever.

Office staff is horrible. Not responsive. Dr Mongahas refused to give me a 90 day prescription, which is what my insurance company (and I) strongly prefers. First visit "Come back in 30 days" and refused 90-day prescription. 30 Days later "Come back in 30 days" and refused 90-day prescription. 30 Days later "We have no record of your appointment." They said they would send refill request to pharmacy, but didn't. PCP refilled for 90 days with no problem.

Literally asks you 10 questions from a computer and then bills you an outrageous amount. What makes him so special he can read from a computer? Barely speaks English.

I saw Dr. Mangahas to request a referral to a counselor/therapist specializing in dialectal behavioral therapy for a disorder with which I was diagnosed several years ago by a very competent and involved physician. I made it clear I was not interested in medication of any sort due to its proven failure in the past to treat this disorder in both myself and others. However, after speaking with me for only 15 minutes (and asking no questions whatsoever about my behavioral problems, only my mood), he told me I had an "unspecified mood disorder" and suggested mood stabilizers or antipsychotics (classes of psychotropic drugs known to have serious, even life-threatening side effects). I reiterated that I did not want to take medications known for causing kidney problems, type 1 diabetes, aggression, worsened suicidal ideation, etcetera (he himself conceded these risks were real), and that I preferred to pursue behavioral therapy. He then implied I was suffering from cannabis induced psychosis because I refused medication, and refused to give me the names of any counselors because he didn't know who was covered by my insurance. Keep in mind I had expressed suicidal feelings to him, and he turned me away empty handed because I would not accept his hasty, perfunctory diagnosis or prescriptions. I would not recommend this physician to anyone who is serious about getting to the root cause of their depression/anxiety. If you are just looking for a magic pill to make your problems go away quickly (at considerable risk to your physical health), you might get along with him.
