List of St. Christopher's Hospital's Reviews
I should have known when I was taken there by ambulance after a car accident that I should never go there again. I was in a room for about 45 minutes and the nurse finally comes in and says "so, we ready to check out?". I hadn't even seen anyone else yet! That was years ago, so when I fell getting out of the shower and couldn't walk I was desperate. I couldn't even go for a day because I couldn't get downstairs but finally went. Was wheeled in and they were dismissive from the get go. I couldn't even touch my shin it was so painful. They xrayed my ankle, said it wasn't broken, gave me 2 Motrin and a pair of crutches (when I obviously couldn't use them) and sent me home. Waited over an hour for a copy of the X-Ray and finally gave up and left. It's now 2 months later and I still cannot walk without pain. Go to Paoli or Lancaster. Anywhere but here.
I've had to take my elderly mother to the ER twice during the last four months. The service we received was excellent we were seen right away and the staff couldn't have been kinder and the doctors couldn't of been more knowledgeable. The staff was very thorough in their testing. She had to be admitted one of the two visits and her visit at the hospital was very comfortable and the staff were excellent! I wouldn't take my family any place else!
A close relative of mine was recently a patient at Brandywine. For the most part, security and nurses were friendly and helpful. However, the doctor failed to identify the root cause of illness and balked at any suggestion that the COVID vaccine causes people to become incoherent. Rashes, fluid around the heart and lungs, ringing in the ears, spiked protein in kidneys and liver, blood cots, onset of Parkinson's, blurred vision and loss of memory can be symptoms of the shot.An orderly belittled my relative for watching Fox News...actually lashed out at her. Unacceptable behavior from a facility that is supposed to support and care for a sick person in need of care.
Covid is the least of their concerns. Family member went through ED and doctor straight up gave medication that patient was allergic to because she didn't believe he was allergic to it. Confronted her and told her she made a mistake 3 times and she would not admit her wrongdoing. Completely incompetent. If a score of less than one star were possible they would get it. You are taking your life in your hands going to Brandywine. Find someone to drive you to Chester county, Paoli or Lancaster to avoid admission here.
Would NEVER recommend ANYONE go here. The worst people ever. No respect for employees who have dedicated YEARS of service. The hospitalists are horrid and the most unresponsive HR department ever.Would strongly suggest that any current employee watch his/her back.
I was treated their in the ER on JuNe 8, 2021 for what I thought to be sprained ankle. I had got X-rays done and waited another hour on top of about 2-1/2-3 hours I was their with no ice or anything for my sprain and then was told no bones were broken treat it with ice and basically sent home with Ibuprofen and if symptoms occur within week contact a orthopedic ok fine today I go to an orthopedic and he looked at the X-rays and he tells me clearly I have a fracture on my ankle and showed me the pic and everything I had to get a boot on my foot. I just wanted to say to X-ray tech and everyone involved in my treatment please to be careful and pay attention to everything
This was the worst hospital experience I have ever received. I am extremely suicidal and they left me in a room with the door closed and ignored me for hours. I had an awful headache at 12 and I asked for pain meds 6 times and they said it would get taken care of but it did not. At around 8 at night I got the pain meds it was Tylenol which is what I overdosed on which means I am not allowed to take them. At breakfast they brought me a meal with lots of meat options and I told them I was vegetarian, they told me they would tell the kitchen and then I did not receive a lunch or dinner. They never gave me my antidepressants no matter how many times I reminded them and I got to the point where I attempted to drink a full cup of hand sanitizer. Highly do not recommend.
This hospital Is horrible. ghetto nasty I don't know how this shit is still opened for business oh also if you're a POC they are like cops to black men go to Chester county hospital in west Chester
I came to the ER with extreme abdominal pain and all things considered they got me checked out and into surgery (i had an intususeption) pretty fast. all of my nurses were kind except one who yelled at the man in the room beside me. food was not great lol but i didn't expect it to be. after my surgery, i wasn't initially given the remote to call the nurse so for two hours i unsuccessfully kept trying to press the call nurse button on my bed until it got to the point where i had to cry out for a nurse. it hurt obviously so i started crying and then crying also hurt.
I spent three days in the covid-19 unit and I cannot say enough on how wonderful l was treated there by the staff and doctors. From the ER in which Dr. Gable took excellent care of me, To my admission and the lovely room l was given. Thanks to Lorvelene, Bryan, Steven, Nicole from respiratory, Allison from er, lu ann for the painless iv and the crew in the kitchen for the delicious food. And thanks to deja for taking care of me on the last day, you all deserve a medal in my book for being the heroes you are!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
