Dr. Ali is a fantastic dermatologist, and I've seen her for about 5 years! If I have difficulty scheduling with her, the other two MDs in the practice are great too. I see some negative reviews, and my experience has always been a positive (nice office, helpful staff, quality care from a medical doctor). I do keep regular/annual appointments as my family has a history of melanoma, and I don't blame doctors for needing to physically see a patient with some sort of regularity prior to prescribing medications.

I agree... I don't understand the negative reviews. I find Dr. Ali to be extremely professional, skilled, and competent. I have seen Dr. Ali for several years and I could not be more pleased.

Suddenly refused to refill prescription she was following me on as I had not been in for an office visit recent enough according to them...had been seeing her for several visits on a regular schedule and was not told to come in more frequently (and the American Academy of Dermatology has stopped recommending more frequent visits for the medication). Basically told tough luck and I would have to discontinue medicine until I could schedule in 6 months. Was also told repeatedly by her that she would prescribe Accutane despite being managed well on other medications and having suicidal thoughts with a previous Accutane attempt. My PCP has been following me on my acne medications since with no problem. Will not be returning and have urged family not to see her.

Surprised to see the negative comments. My experience with Dr. Ali and with her office was very positive. I felt she was attentive in listening to my complaints, prescribed a very effective course of action, and gave a thorough explanation for the rationale for her recommendations. I would recommend her to others.

Not a great experience. Both of my children saw her for several visits. She tried to push us into starting accutane when neither one of them had acne that was bad enough to warrant such a drastic and dangerous medication. With one of my kids, she attempted to continue to push me into agreeing to this medication for several visits.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGIC SKIN REACTION AND DON'T HAVE A RASH IF YOU WANT PATCH TESTING DONE!!!!! SHE WAS ALSO SO UNPROFESSIONAL SHE GAVE ME A REFERAL TO A DENTIST AND NOT ANOTHER DERMATOLOGIST!!!!!

Dr. Ali was prompt, courteous, professional, and compassionate. She was also able to communicate effectively with her staff while simultaneously explaining her findings to me in layman's terms. She took several extra minutes reassuring me about the overall picture of my skin's health when she could have easily left that job to a staff member. I will not hesitate to go back to her for my annual exam as she now has a patient for life.
