My 6 month old daughter was in on 4th of July night after getting kicked in the face with a kick ball. The doctor and nurse on staff was absolutely wonderful. They made sure nothing was broke and put our hearts at ease (first time parents). My only suggestion is coming from Galeton please put a sign where your emergency room is located. We pulled in the first driveway where the visitor entrance was and was lost at first. There is no signs indicating where the entrance is coming from this direction. Overall great experience under the circumstances
I was on vacation in Harrison valley at my sister. My almost 2year old granddaughter fell off the slide and broke her arm. The hospital staff was wonderful. Thank you all so much for make her feel safe.I know more and sat down and was called in. Maybe it was a slow day for them. The most important thing is how they treated us. They were great.
Went to the ER for an emergency and ended up waiting for 5 hours in the waiting room to see a doctor to get medical help, so my ride showed up and I ended up leaving without being seen cause having to wait for 5 hours and not be able to see a doctor for an emergency is a bit ridiculous, they had about 3 other patients that also left before I did for having to wait over 5 hours and not be seen!
Very clean. Busy but productive. No long wait at the Emergency Room. Free coffee and cold water in Emergency Waiting Area, served by the UPMC Security Officer.
They don’t care about anyone unless they are “in” This is a messed up hospital.
Had a simple procedure done there and they were amazing. Great nurses, fantastic surgeon, and everyone was super friendly. They listened to everything I had to say and answered every question I had. Highly recommend this place.
My grandson was treated immediately in the Emergency Department with great care. The discharge instructions were clear and all in the healthcare team were patient and kind. Thank you all for your extraordinary patient care. I think we were in and out in less than an hour with 8 stitches. You rock!
Iam at upmc in port Allegheny took my brother here for dental appointment so figured while I was waiting I could get my flu shot they told me I could not the waiting room had virtually nobody in it very unacceptable
I had three different appalling experiences with three different doctors. They do not listen to patients, particularly women, or admit to their mistakes. One doctor refused to listen to my symptoms and sent me a way; a much more experience doctor elsewhere recommended surgery and my symptoms resolved. When I complained to customer service they said that their doctor had responded appropriately since I “had no symptoms.” Standard of care is dismal and they are rude and condescending to patients. I will never go there again. As you can see below, customer service contacts people who submit negative reviews and asks for more information, creating a public appearance that they care. In fact, I already contacted them and they said that nobody there was in the wrong. One of their many conclusions? The doctor who didn’t listen to me and said I had no symptoms had done nothing wrong because I had no symptoms! In fact, I did have symptoms that were then addressed by a somewhat alarmed doctor outside of their organization. This is a misogynist organization that doesn’t listen to female patients and doesn’t see that as essential to their standard of care.
I had a total hip replacement. The care I received was fantastic, nurses and doctors were very friendly and caring and pleasent. The visiting home nurses and physical therapists were very nice and helpful. I would diffently recommend this hospital.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
