List of Kathleen M. Osten's Reviews
It was a good experience.
Stay away from this doctor. I have been a patient of hers for years and should have switched a long time ago but stayed due to not wanting to deal with the hassle of switching when she was easy to get in with. Her attitude is terrible, she is rude, condescending and downplays anything you tell her. I’ve been complaining about a certain issue for years and she never sent me for the appropriate consultations and now I’ve had to have surgery for something that has become way more complicated than it should. I could go on and on but it’s not necessary. Just read all the other reviews.
I swear I love Dr Osten BUT their phone answering is the PITS!!!! Dont blame on the dam pandemic either cause it was like this way before:( You are put on hold FOREVER and a day and it is just awful to do this to people:( Something should be done in a very quick manner about this or maybe time to change practices and I have been going here for over 20 years:(
She’s incredibly impatient with patients. My friend nearly was paralyzed (not an exaggeration) because of incompetence and her rude and rushed demeanor. She had to be taken to someone else. I would highly suggest NOT visiting her if possible.
Dr Osten was very impatient with me. I usually see Dr Karp but he was in another office. I have hearing difficulties and I read lips to understand better. These masks are not helping my problem out at all. I thought she was terrible. Im probably going to find another group of doctors
AVOID
I have been seeing Dr. Osten for many years, and I highly recommend her. She is very thorough, kind, and knowledgable. I have never had a problem with her or with her office staff!
Worst experience ever had scheduling an appointment , did not show for an appointment 7 years ago in 2012. So they cannot schedule me . Don't waste your time with the office manager or this practice.
Profile says she's been practicing for 28 years. That is NOT necessarily a GOOD thing! Experience is great if you also adapt with the times and keep up with changes / developments in both medicine and how to relate to patients. She doesn't understand that while no, web-MD certainly doesn't make you a doctor, it has made people more informed about their potential health issues. I had Lyme disease, and she refused to treat it until I exhibited ALL the classic symptoms and/or a positive test. However, I had seen that the CDC recommends treatment even if Lyme is only suspected (unconfirmed) to reduce the chance of complications. Either she doesn't keep up on CDC recommendations, or thinks she knows better with her 28 years 'experience.' As someone else mentioned, she talks down to you if you act like you may know even a little about your own illness. Why do I need her if I have to exhibit every last symptom I could find in a medical text? This terrible doctor needs to retire ASAP.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
