List of Upmc Passavant Cranberry's Reviews
Don't waste your time or gas. Attending ER doctor mark fennema is anything but patient friendly , his notes are questionable and overall patient review is in a misleading fashion.
Worst experience of my life! I am 30 weeks pregnant and was nervous I was about to go into labor. I needed them to check if amniotic fluid was leaking. As soon as I get there you walk through a metal detector and the guy isn’t even watching so what was the point. Then I check in and answer a gazillion questions. I sit down, I am the only one there and it takes them 10 minutes to call me back. The lady who told me she was my nurse tells me to strip naked and put on a gown. I said why when I just need to be checked with a test strip. She then told me they don’t have any and because I’m getting an iv. I said well I’ll just go to a different hospital because I don’t need an iv. She then tells me I am not allowed to leave and they will hold me. I instantly call my parents to come pick me up and I will sign an ama. No one is going to force me to stay, I don’t live here and I am not going to be admitted. The tech comes in and tells me I can leave if I want he will get the doctor. The hateful nurse comes back and says we have tests strips so strip down. I said no I am leaving you are not treating me. She then tells me again I cannot leave. She leaves and I’m currently in panic mode and almost hysterical as I’m pregnant and traveling with a 2 year old. The PA comes in and tells me I am so sorry, if you want to leave you can other wise I have test strips and I can give you an ultrasound. So I agreed for the PA as long as the other nurse stayed out. Then they weren’t even sure how to read the test strips. So they told me it was negative. Discharged me within 5 minutes and gave me an icy for my troubles! Worst hospital experience of my life and would not recommend this place to anyone!
I would give 0 stars if possible. The level of incompetence is UNREAL.
The Patient Service Rep who is heavy set with very short brown hair white woman and terrible personality shouldn't be working with people. This was at Passavant a year ago.
Dr. Sloan was absolutely amazing when I went in last week with symptoms that I had had for two months that were getting worse. He actually listened to me when I told him my concerns surrounding my symptoms and what I had gone through trying to get help with my symptoms. He made me feel heard unlike the where I had gone beforehand for help. He made his diagnosis and put me on a prescription and ever since my symptoms have almost completely cleared up and I feel 1,000 times better now. Thank you so much Dr. Sloan for actually listening to your patient and helping. You are one of a kind doctor and I'm so thankful you were able to help me.
I was told to call and make an appoint for follow up after open heart surgery. They do not answer the phone or return your call. I'm still waiting after 2 days of calling. I finally received a call back and Marie was very nice and told me that they were very busy. I'm hoping the rehab goes well so I can update this rating. I changed my rating from 3 to 5 because the staff here is wonderful and they truly do care about your progress in rehabilitation. It is a very friendly environment and inspiring to workout with pre-planning to check progress. They are very busy so patients are self-rotated through each workout to help keep from backing up. It's like going to the gym with the staff nearby to help and monitor your every move. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. If you have trouble getting through, just keep trying! 😁
Horrible! Unfortunately when rushing to an ER we didn’t take the time to read reviews….. we got to the hospital with my wife bleeding from a cut that required attention and were admitted to a room immediately… she had a paper towel wrapped around the injury… a triage nurse came in and gave it a look handed her a gauze pad and said to hold it on the injury…. He told us who the Doctor on duty was and who are nurse would be… after an hour passed I began to inquire when she might be seen… we were told they only had one Doctor and he was seeing other patients… still never saw a nurse… after another half hour I asked if maybe we should go to the AHN North Hospital down the road and we’re told it would be the same or worse there… and she was next to be seen… another half hour passed and still nothing… we were at two hits now.. and finally a nurse came in and offered pain meds… now we understand the more critical patients had to be seen first… but there were not that many patients even in the ER most rooms were empty… another half hour passed and we gave up and left for the other hospital… we arrived at AHN North in Wexford and were sent to a room immediately the Nurses began to address the room at once… within five minutes the doctor was in the room… the nurses continued to prep her and within twenty minutes she was being stitched up… Back to reviews read them… a few glowing reviews but many more have had the same type of experience we had… the staff at UPMC Cranberry had no business telling us that AHN North would be as long or worse of a wait… we were effectively held hostage for two and a half hours…. I hope that this helps save other people from the same disturbing treatment. If Zero Stars were available that would be the rating here!
One star only because there are no zero star options... stuck in an ER room with my wife bleeding... one nurse came in in the first five minutes then nothing fir the first hour... told she would be seen soon and now part the second hour... we were leaving to go to AGH north and the nurses said it was the same way there... I checked and the wait there was 20 minutes... 2 1/2 hours and I can tell you we will never make this mistake again... do yourself a favor and seek your ER care anywhere but this horrible place.... I now know why they call it pass away
I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Don’t waste your time here, go to a hospital where you’ll get actual medical assistance.
Was told on phone emergency room could accommodate me for platlets. went to er spend 3 hours to verify blood results that were given to them by my doctor. Then to be told it would be around 2 hours or so for platlets to come from Pittsburgh and about 2 hours to administer. I'm not sure saying you do something that takes you 4 to 5 hours to prepare for is accommodating. That would be like me telling one of my customers yes I can do you brake work, bring your car in, then tell them I need to order the parts, may be several hours to get them. Please have a seat in the waiting room. . . to I get .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
