Amy L Basile's Online Review Report Card

I have been seeing Dr. Basile since 2014, & I have have found her to very personable, empathetic & knowledgeable without being condescending or overly formal. She never assumes anything, including her own previous diagnosis. Every visit she makes sure that any changes to what was seen before are verified, and is always eager to start with "What have YOU noticed since your last visit?" A great example was that I pointed to a very small spot at the top of my neck just off the right ear I had only recently felt; she admitted that without my spotting it she may suggested merely freezing instead of a biopsy, which showed that it was far enough advanced already to have Mohs surgery. Since I am now in the Senior category, she drills home the importance of protective covering when in the sun. Her office is part of Dermatology & Mohs Surgery Center in suburban Doylestown; the staff is excellent & well-organized, even during the work-arounds needed to see patients in this COVID pandemic.

I will not be recommending Dr. Basile to any family members or friends. I didn't find her to be understanding and felt she spoke disrespectfully to me. I have found a new Dermatologist in Doylestown... I am beyond pleased.

Dr. Basile treated me more than just her pt. I was like a family member. I was so Ill with several things going on at one time ,and she just said if you were my brother, I would put you in hospital right now ! Well, she told me to go to ER downstairs. Several things were found out on a cat scan, so I am glad I went !! She really cares about you , tries her best to help you out.

I loved my experience at Aesthetic Dermatology. Dr Basile was very thorough, took her time and answered my questions. She is very personable as well.

Excellent response time when rx's were needed to be called in. Hands on care and great "bedside" manner! Would highly recommend Dr. Amy Basile!!

I've been going to Dr. Basile for over a year and cannot find fault with her expertise nor her bedside manner. She is thorough, patient, and kind. The office is always super busy so I try to schedule my appointments in the morning to avoid the chance of delays.

I came in with the expectation to have a whole body skin check-up and also have a very minor skin condition consulted (when I made the appointment, I was asked why I need to come in, that is my answer). When I came to the office, the nurse was very nice, took me to the exam room, got the vitals and then asked me to undress for the exam. Yet when the doctor came, she only addressed my minor skin condition and let me go after maybe 2 minutes maximum. I was shocked!What a way to treat your patient!

I agree with the other reviewer that this place seems like an assembly line - the staff is nice enough, but they really don't take the time to engage and I did feel rushed. I've seen Dr. Basile a few times and I just feel like she really doesn't have the patience to deal with people who are looking for alternative options - which is ironic considering that she is a DO and I have always assumed that they were less trigger-happy with writing scripts. She tried to push several prescriptions on me after I told her that I was looking for alternative options and finally just left the room and gave the PA instructions on what to send to the pharmacy. I was very disappointed with my visit and will not be back.

This place is like an assembly line. They just rush you in and out!

She is a wonderful doctor! She is so kind an patient. She listens to all your concerns and help you through all of it.
