Caroline Heise's Online Review Report Card

To be fair I’ll start with the positive parts of this practice. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful and always pleasant to talk to. Linda the nurse practitioner is very sweet. I was going to Linda but somehow got switched to Dr. Heise which is where my issues started. I was having an issue with my birth control (not going into details I don’t personally want to share those). Dr. Heise said in order to switch pills I needed to get an ultrasound. Went and had an ultrasound (was very expensive but oh well my fault for not clarifying prior). Afterwards I went back to the office to switch my pill and Dr. Heise said “all birth control pills are the same” as anyone with access to the internet and other doctors can confirm this is not true. I went on further explaining to Dr. Heise how I had this same issue in the past and that when I went to Linda she switched my pill for me and the problem went away. Dr. Heise did not acknowledge and seeming annoyed said she’ll switch my pill to “one that’s been around awhile that I shouldn’t have any issues with” I reminded her that I had this issue before and asked her to make sure it would not be the same pill as before and she said “we only keep records for 3 years.” speaking to other doctors about this statement they have all shared with me that is an abnormally short period of time. Also would have been nice to know the information to have kept of my records myself not that I should even have to. After ordering the script Dr. Heise rushed out of the room not even letting me finish asking my question. This new pill she put me on completely messed up my body. I gained weight, got acne, became so easily angry and emotional. Luckily I had some of my old pill left to tie me over while looking for a new gyno. In fact, not all birth control pills are the same. If you do chose to go to this practice I really urge you to at least not go to see Dr. Heise. I wish I would have questioned this before taking that pill and I wish that the constant rude bedside manner she had towards me would have gotten me to at least try to switch back to Linda sooner.

Dr. Heide is knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent doctor and very thorough.

Love this physician. Very competent, precise, organized. Speaks quickly, but that is her style. Been going to her for over 15 years.

Dr. Heise is very professional with a great bedside manner. I would highly recommend her. The staff is also great.

Dr. Heise is very professional. She diagnosed my cancer and sent me to the best specialist in the area. Now I am back with her and appreciate her saving my life. She talks to you in a concise manner during procedures and exams. I highly recommend Dr. Heise.

The absolute worst. Please, please fellow ladies, DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN. She is the ABSOLUTE most rude, discriminatory and unprofessional "physician". She will talk to you like if you're trash, leave you in the waiting you for hours, but if you're late even 5 minutes tell you she doesn't have time for you and then tell you you're basically not worth her time. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. And especially fellow black, brown, latinx ladies, DO NOT GO EVEN CLOSE TO THIS PERSON.

Dr. Heise is professional and has her patient's interest foremost. She is soft spoken, but has always conversed with me and explained her choice of procedures. I recommended her to a friend.

After years of seeing Dr. Heise and coming away without any answers to questions, I decided to see her nurse practitioner, Linda Vollrath. Even worse. 1. For breast exam, refused to order appropriate test - after agreeing to do so! 2. For pelvic exam, ordered test with unclear instructions to tech, then did not even realize, or care when I pointed it out, that the results did not address the original question/reason for the test.

I took my daughter to Dr Heise since she was “highly recommended.” She was very dismissive of my daughter’s severe, debilitating pain. In fact, she told us the problem wasn’t gynecological at all and just washed her hands of us. Told me outright that it was NOT endometriosis. Well, it was and it was Stage Four! Sad we went to her first because her gross incompetence left my daughter to remain in horrible pain for an unnecessary extended time while we ran around to non-gyn specialists, (only to find out it we were right to begin with. ) That aside, she showed no compassion and had no bedside manner, was abrasive and completely incompetent. ‘Winning’ combination.
