At the 80th Annual Meeting of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics, President Dr. Jacinthe Paquette honored Dr. David Eggleston with the Fred Gulick Distinguished Life Member Award. The PCSP website states: "Fred Gulick was a renaissance man. He was a people person. He was a Barber Shop Quartet singer. He was a great dentist, a superb prosthodontist, a leader, an innovator and an educator in the field of prosthodontics. In his honor, the PCSP annually selects a life member to receive the Fred E. Gulick Distinguished Life Member Award. Like Dr. Gulick, this life member is a leader, an innovator and an educator in the field of prosthodontics, and by receiving the award will be remembered for his or her service to the profession in perpetuity."
Dr. David W. Eggleston is an outstanding dentist, professional and individual. Dr. Eggleston's academic and professional credentials are outstanding. He truly is a 'dentist's dentist'. I urge patients to do their homework in choosing any dental professional. One way to easily investigate a dentist's competence and ethical standing is by searching the California Dental Board web site. As an example, see http://www.dbc.ca.gov/public/dds42624_20150623_2amaccu.pdf Obviously there are clear differences among dentists ... so don't be fooled by fancy advertising. Do your homework. Dr. Eggleston will pass any level of legitimate professional scrutiny.
I have been a Registered Dental Assistant with Dr. Eggleston in Newport Beach for 33 years. Dr. Eggleston is one of the top leaders in dentistry. Honorary Fellowships include the American College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Prosthodontists, the International College of Dentists, and the OKU and ATE Honorary Dental Fraternities. I am a dentist in Newport Beach and have been a patient in Dr. Eggleston’s office for more than 20 years. The posting of 8 patients with horrible treatment is a hoax. The Dental Board needed just 3 patients to filed an Accusation requesting the revocation of Dr. Sherri Worth’s dental license – http://www.dbc.ca.gov/public/dds42624_20150623_2amaccu.pdf
The complaint filed a week ago is completely false and posted by a person upset over my testimony as a dental expert witness in a dental malpractice case. My testimony was determined to be true, relevant, and factual by an Arbitrator and a Superior Court Judge. The person posting the complaint is not even a patient at my office. How ridiculous to claim 8 patients have received bad dental treatment while there are no lawsuits, no Peer Review adverse decisions, and no Dental Board actions.
I don't know how Dr. David Eggleston is still in practice. I had a horrible experience at his office, he has caused irreversible damage to many of my teeth, and he has neglected treatment he should have done. I know of at least 8 other patients who have similar issues as me, and I am so disappointed that he is still able to practice. In my opinion, he should not be able to practice dentistry. Please do not trust his work! I have had to have many of my crowns replaced that he did for me.
Dr. Eggleaston cause great damage to my teeth. Nearly all of his dental work needs to be replace. My financial loss is considerable. Do not trust what he says and do; otherwise you will pay a heavy price with your health and money.
The April 26th posting is bogus. If you received treatment below the dental standard of care, just file a complaint with the ADA Peer Review. If the treatment is below standard, you will receive a full refund.
I have been seeing Dr Eggleston for years and all of the crowns he has done have never felt good. I have constantly been in pain and my daughter has has the even worse issues. I have continually gone back to see him to ask him to help with the issues but he and his staff keep telling me to do more crowns. I have felt pressured to do the work and I feel that Dr. Eggleston is very arrogant and is not concerned about his work. My daughter has had to have all of her work redone and the work that Dr. eggleston did was poor. She has incurred extensive costs redoing his work and I am in the same situation. I would not recommend Dr. eggleston. I do not feel that he is current or cares for what he does. His arrogance is horrible. The way he speaks about himself and how wonderful he is--simply untrue.
Dr is very kind and understanding of patients that have phobias of dentists. He is pricy, but worth the money!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
