Laurie Gerstein's Online Review Report Card

Words are just not enough to express how much I appreciate all that Dr. Gerstein has done for me. She is an amazing and compassionate Doctor. I am truly blessed to have her as my OBGYN. If there were more stars, she would deserve them all.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gerstein for at least 15 years or more. I love her!! She’s very professional and has a warm heart as well. She really listens to all your concerns and takes the time with you so you FEEL heard. My daughter saw Dr. Gerstein before moving to Florida and often says she wishes she could could find another OB/GYN like her. The staff is kind and friendly and very professional as well.

I had an excellent experience with this practice and Dr. Gerstein. It was my first appointment with her and I found her to be attentive and informative. She was sensitive to my needs which made the exam only mildly uncomfortable rather than painful as it has been with other doctors. The waiting room was empty when I entered and left, the office staff were very considerate, and despite arriving early, the staff saw me promptly. The office is located in a complex where there is no difficulty with parking.

This was my 1st visit to Dr. Gerstein, and I couldn't have been more pleased. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She explained everything she was doing during the exam in detail, letting me know that everything was normal. She answered any questions that I had, even before I asked them. She was very patient and warm, and took her time in answering any concerns that I had. I would recommend her highly.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gerstein. She is thorough, compassionate and explains things very well. Last year I had an excellent experience with her PA, Linda Vollarth, too. I have been to several gynecology practices as I have relocated through the years. I think she’s one of the best and I highly recommend her practice!

I had my first visit with Dr. Gerstein today and I was very pleased with my experience. The office staff was very friendly and courteous and Dr. Gerstein was such a pleasure to meet. She spent time with me; I never once felt rushed. She took time and really listened to me, which is so important. She is also very gentle and has a warm bedside manner. I highly recommend her! As a side note: I am 50 and experiencing perimenopausal symptoms, which was my main reason for seeing her and I felt like she totally understood me and what I am going through and was very helpful.

Never in my life have I had such an awful experience with a doctor than I had with Dr. Gerstein. I actually left her office in tears because of my experience. I have gone to the practice for years, but this was my first time going to Dr. Gerstein. I will now be leaving the practice all together. While most of the doctors there, in my experience, are condescending and belittling, Dr. Gerstein is by far the worst. Going to the gynecologist is a sensitive and nerve wracking experience for many women. I came into my appointment wanting to talk about and possibly find answers about a condition I think I may have due to many, many symptoms and risk factors. When I presented my symptoms to the doctor, it was clear from her face that she was not even listening. She then proceeded to tell me that since she had just met me, she couldn’t be sure of my symptoms (which I had just laid out for her). My symptoms are extreme and affect my life every single day. Dr. Gertsetin told me that she didn’t want to run tests because most times they come back negative. She told me there was really nothing she could do for me and was all together dismissive and belittling. It was not until I was in tears that I felt she started to listen at all. Even then, she simply told me “that must be tough.” She did end up ordering an ultrasound; however, we both know my suspected condition cannot be detected through an ultrasound. I felt that this was just a way of appeasing me. She also told me she herself would call me with the results of the ultrasound, but I ended up receiving a call from the front desk staff with my results instead. She made me feel like the issues and pain I have were not worthy of her time and attention. I will obviously be going elsewhere in the future, but I now feel embarrassed, ashamed, and apprehensive about bringing up this issue with someone else out of fear I will receive the same response. Please, do some research and find someone who will listen to you and not make you feel less than human. I truly do not understannd why Dr. Gerstein is in this profession if she has no intention of helping people. No one should be made to feel the way I did by a doctor.

I had an IUD placement after a long battle with different birth controls, she was extremely thorough and took the time to make sure I was comfortable and it was one of the best choices I made. I cannot recommend her enough. Plus, the staff is also extremely thorough and very kind!
