List of Marc Stiefel's Reviews
Dr. Stiefel healed the hole in my eardrum with a procedure he said could be 60 to 70% effective. He gave me three procedure options, I choose the middle option. IT WORKED! The former ENT doc I saw said that my eardrum could possibly heal on its own. But it didn't heal after waiting eight months. At that time the former ENT gave me only one choice for an operation but that was the most extreme procedure. I then went to Dr. Stiefel who suggested three options. I choose the mid-level procedure and I can now hear, the hole is closed, and I know longer have to wear ear plugs every time I shower! That procedure was 100% effective for me! Thank you so much Dr. Stiefel. I highly recommend him!
I have seen him twice. He made simple errors by not reading my chart all the way through, said my condition was "bad luck," and offered no solutions. I was complaining about him to my dad who said that he had met with him for a sinus problem and also had a bad experience! His front office staff is also rude, both on the phone and in person. I work in the medical field and everything about this office is a case study is what NOT to do.
My wife went to her 11 AM appointment which was confirmed on Friday and was told that they’re sorry that they have to reschedule because the appointment was at 10:40. So the office made a mistake and confirmed a 11 o’clock appointment and told my wife and her appointment was at 11o’clock and they made her go home after driving an hour to get there and taking off of work. The receptionist was rude and did not have any empathy whatsoever from my wife who also happen to have her two-year-old son with her.
He was rushed and handled our toddler son in a rough and callous manner. We expected him to show a much better bedside manner and care with a small child. We saw another ENT at CHOP and had a dramatically different size experience.
This doctor is creepy and seems to take pleasure in causing pain. He did a nasal endoscopy without anesthetic and didn't warn me in advance it might be painful. It WAS painful, and I moved a bit to reduce the discomfort. Also, my nose started bleeding! Instead of apologizing, he said, "It hurts less if you don't move." He proceeded to repeat the procedure , again without anesthetic, and again, it was painful. No apology! I switched to a different ENT, who did the procedure WITH nasal anesthesia. It made a huge difference. No discomfort, no bleeding.
Excellent, he listened to my ear problems, he cleaned both ears and the ringing and buzzing went away. I recommend anybody who has ringing and buzzing in their ears, to visit Dr Stiefel !!!!!
Dr. Stiefel performed a septoplasty and turbinate reduction on me recently. Everything went perfect and I highly recommend anyone that is considering to go see him. He is very knowledgeable and is very caring when it comes to any questions that you may have.
I was told he did't know what was wrong and he didn't seem to even want to try and find out. I was billed $400 for one office visit and i learned nothing about what is wrong with my constant ear and sinus infections. a waste of time. He didn't care i had a cyst in my sinuses. i called to get an estimate price for the visit, they said $50 to $200. my bill was $450....
He has a horrible bedside manner....doesn't check your throat-every single time i have ever seen an ENT they have probed down my nose into my throat- not this guy, he's in and out. He also knows little of thyroid masses and issues that may arise from them. he's arrogant. there aren't many ENTs around, but driving a bit further maybe even in to Northeast philladelphia is completely worth it. you cannot even get into this office in a reasonable amount of time.
I saw him years ago and had surgery for a deviated septum. Never felt better. Another ENT confirms the septum is still very deviated and that it is contributing to probable sleep apnea along with my tonsils so I need to now undergo a revision on the work he did. I understand maybe it still being mildly deviated after my surgery with him but both ENTs I saw confirmed it is still "severely deviated to the right" completely obstructing my nose- it is as if he did nothing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
