Dose not communicate with patients well. Secretary makes mistakes in appointments and doesn’t admit it. Unlike most Doctors and even dentists, does NOT give a call before appointments to remind patients. Then he and his secretary/receptionist deny and get angry. Dose not communicate with patients well. Dr. Jackel has been very helpful for me
Today I called to this office to request a referral to a new neurologist, as I have moved across the state and need to be seen closer to my home. This is not news to this office, as they were already informed of my move. The new neurologist office required a referral for why I need to be seen. I am in need of a neurologist primarily to have my epilepsy medications monitored and prescribed. This office refused to provide me with a referral to the new office, even after explaining that I was in need of the referral for my medication. They just continued to state they would not refer me. Is this truly the kind of care your oaths as doctors encourages? Or are you just angry I will not be using your office any longer. Not to mention that while being a patient here, my doctor continually attempted to get me to stop taking my epilepsy medication, even though I was uncomfortable with that conversation, as it has been unsuccessful multiple attempts in the past, and had resulted in seizures; so I was not willing to come off my medication. It is unethical for you to not refer a patient to a new office, knowing they have epilepsy and that they are in need of medication. Do better.
Went to discuss ADHD and dyslexia treatment 1) His office staff are rude and condescending 2) his office does not accept any email correspondence I wanted to send my recent Neuroeducational assessment to him to have before my appointment. Was told to bring a paper copy (it is 50 pages long!) he didn't bother to look at it. did not bother to really listen to my concerns Said I wanted to think about the tests but never scheduled any 1 month later got a bill of $50.00 for a missed appointment which I never scheduled

I have no clue what these people are talking about. I've been going to Dr. Jackel ever since my seizure in 2012 and he is my favorite doctor. His staff has always been polite and professional. And Dr. Jackel himself is the same. He has never rushed me or left me with questions. He has gone above and beyond for me and my issues. I'm so glad he's my doctor!! ADHD? Go somewhere else. After months of rigorous testing and waiting for results the outcome was for him to ask us what kind of medication we wanted. We thought we were jumping through all of these extra hoops to get very specific information about my son's issues. It was all a farce and a gigantic waste of time and money. Doc Jackel had my son on Adderall for 5 years, went to get him off the drug, Jackel wasn't too happy about that I guess, so instead of proper weaning with follow up help, we were instructed to take less and in 2 weeks go cold turkey. Have not heard a word from Jackel since. My son is struggling with depression now with severe ramifications from not weaning off this drug properly. We are considering legal counsel for this act of negligence and improper treatment. We were never warned of the risk of going off this drug cold turkey. The inept Dr. Jackel does not deserve even 1 star in this review.
I am grateful to have found Dr. Jackel. He prescribed a miracle medication that keeps my legs still at night and I can get some sleep. AWESOME!!!!
I really like Dr. Jackal and his entire staff. Moved here from Iowa and he really embraced my history. All I needed was continuing care and I feel I'm getting that. I appreciate that I wasn't judged or made to feel crazy. I highly recommended the neurological group!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
