Stable rheumatoid arthritis x 11years. I moved and was referred. 1st visit she tried switching me to infusion drug. “Infusion mill”, very cool demeaned. Use someone else if at all possible

Wasted afternoon; was seeing a prior DuBois Penn Highlands rheumatologist who relocated. He was excellent and very pleasant, respectful. This is a 1 and done visit. Poor office staff, unprofessional, doctor is condescending, not resourceful. I will be looking for a new doctor.

After waiting a year I finally got to go to my appointment but unfortunately there was a mistake and I had to wait longer. So I finally go to my appointment and I am the only one in the waiting room for 20 minutes and they are still a half hour late. A few weeks later I get all this paperwork with all these orders and no directions. I call them up and they then explain it all to me and I then later find out it was explained wrong. Go to the second appointment and I get there a half hour early and I am the only person in the waiting room. After 45 minutes I told them to cancel the appointment and left. They did not even ask why. It is the same with my wife who has been seeing her for a while and nothing has changed in our health so we both left. She is a nice lady but I can not say the same for the one doing the scheduling.

The Beaver Drive address is not correct for Dr. Newsome. She is now across from the Penn Highlands Hospital.

Dr Newsome was wonderful explained all of my question. Explained how I got Rematory Arthritis and explained.

Dr. Newsome takes the time to explain what the plan is to help with your medical condition. She explores alternatives in medications to customize the need to the patient/customer. Dr. Newsome makes time for and answers any and all patient/customer questions to ensure understanding of meds and process involved to resolve concerns.

i had an appt in feb. 2018 and have not gotten any treatment yet and am getting a lot of pain as of the last two months and no help from there

Staff do not return calls regarding tests results. I had to repeatedly call and it still tool over a,week for a return call. Dr. Newsome is very sweet and kind however how the office is managed leaves much to be desired. Also had to wait over 1 hour to even get back to a room. And to get an initial appointment is a 6 month wait.

Dr. Newsome was the 1st to diagnose (1996) me w/SLE & Sjogrens when practicing in Zanesville, Oh. Because of her expertise, thoroughness & loving bedside manner, I followed her to Dubois: a 700 mile trip.

I have been going to Dr. Newsome for over 10 years, she takes time with you listen to you and very caring person she has helped me immensely. The only bad thing is she is so busy it takes a new patient a long time to get an appointment.
