Dr. Mateer is #1-Trusting, friendly, compassionate, honest and tells you what is going on(no bs). If you are looking for a new PCP, I'd recommend Dr. M bc you can TRUST him and he will always make sure you understand what's going on. Being able to trust you primary care provider is key to knowing and understanding your health and Any issues that may occur! I have a good bit of health issues and he monitors my conditions even if he's not treating certain DX's I have. I also have a child with Down Syndrome that he treats. He's very good with my son and can get him laughing at appointments even if he gets shots.

Dr. Mateer was only my Dr for a few years while I lived nearby, but I was very upset when we moved and I had to find another family physician for myself and my daughter. Dr. Mateer is the best Dr I have ever seen and we miss him dearly. Ive been through a multitude of other drs since and have found no one comparable yet. Dr. Mateer has an excellent bedside manner and will stay in the office with you until YOU are done. He is compassionate and has a great sense of humor. If we ever move back to PA, Dr Mateer will be one of the first people that I call! :)

Dr. Mateer is very knowledgable physcian who takes time with you as a patient and really listens to your concerns. His kindness and sensitivity in addition to his professionalism and knowledge is why I have stayed with him for 15 years. I recommended my grandaughter - that should tell you the level of trust.
