List of Raj L Katara's Reviews
the visit was to confirm a bells palsey diagnosis. after the visit i called when my condition worsened to ask for a physical therapy referral and for a medication that the therapist suggested. there was no call back to tell me that the dr. denied both requests and felt that an ENT should take care of the requests. I couldn't schedule an appointment with the ENT for earlier than 3 months!! So I was left to take matters into my own hands despite being extremely ill. Luckily, my primary care dr. stepped up
absolutely terrible. if i could give zero stars i would. i went to see him after dealing with daily, debilitating migraines and he gave me about 2 minutes of his time and put me on a random medication that did not work. i called weeks later when it wasn’t working and they kept raising my dosage. not only did it not work but it made me gain lots of weight that i can’t seem to lose. the office staff was also abrupt and extremely rude. i had a terrible experience and would never recommend him or their neurology department to anyone. i was better off before i went there.
Dr Katara is very kind. He takes time to understand what you are feeling and going through. He really cares about his patients. I highly recommend him. He is the best in the area. I trust him completely.
Was very impressed.
I found Dr Katara to be kind and supportive in treating my condition. He took the time to get results from tests he ordered immediately and got back to me with the results the same day. Cannot thank him enough for giving me so much time
Absolutely worst Neurologist I have EVER seen!! I had a mini stroke at 30 and went in to see him for a second opinion. I left in tears- he was so cold hearted and absolutely DID NOT care. See Dr.Ternoposka instead if you want an amazing Neuro!!
Dr Katara is one of the terrific MD's at St Luke's Neurology. He is kind, brilliant, attentive and generous with his time. Personal care from a doctor who remembers you from appointment to appointment and so much more!
Rude. Bad bedside manners!! Will never go back!
I had to get a second MRI with contrast since a lesion was found on my brain in the initial MRI. I called the Dr's office to find out the results three days later. The Dr called me back, and thinking I had not gone for my second MRI he rudely blurted out - "You have to get an MRI with contrast!!". I was taken back and replied, I did. Then the Dr backtracked and mumbled something and hung up. He finally had someone else from the office call me with the results. I will NEVER go back.
I had to do a second MRI with contrast due to having a lesion on my brain. When I called for the results, I left a message. Dr. Katara called me back, and when I asked about the results of the second MRI he blurted out - "You have to do an MRI with contrast!" extremely rude. I replied - "I already did the second MRI". He said "oh, let me check" and mumbled something and hung up. This is while I was waiting to hear if I have brain cancer. Dr. Katara has no empathy and no bedside manners. Shame on him. I will NEVER go back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
