Dr Willard has a dry personality. He’s not going to coddle you or hold your hand. He is going to thoroughly diagnose your problem or refer you to others who can help. Very professional. Diagnosed the cause of an issue that was plaguing me for months. Comes off as aloof but he definitely is MY ophthalmologist until he retires. Highly recommend.

Not very friendly or patient when I did not understand what he wanted me to answer from the eye chart. Never introduced himself to me at all.was looking for a new doctor but will not be going back to him.

Office got me in as a new patient within 1 hour of my phone call. Took care of my eye emergency very thoroughly. Staff very friendly. 100% disagree with all reviews of being rude, etc. Far from it.

Very poor experience. Dealing with a scary eye problem he was rude, and not caring. He has zero personality. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother.

Dr. Willard was professional and communicative. He gave his professional opinion but allowed me to decide what to do. His staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate that the office is not packed and the wait times are not long. The front desk person was wonderful!

Willard was rude, patronizing, and CONDESCENDING. I brought my elderly mom for a routine eye appointment. She asked a question and he went off on a tangent about always being asked this SAME question by patients and how he can’t understand how patients can not REMEMBER the answer year-to-year AND how over 30 years of eye visits (not with him!) she should know the answer. When he was done pontificating, she told him he hadn’t even addressed the question she originally asked!!! He then went off AGAIN saying he DID answer the question asked (not!) … at this point I stepped in b/c I was so upset to see my intelligent, vibrant mother being treated as if she were less. He has absolutely no listening skills!

Unpleasant

I have had many problems with my eye. Dr Willard has saved the vision in the eye! He had referred me to the correct places. He did laser surgery last week also on my eye. He does his job and doesn’t let anything just go. He wants it to be perfect and I’m happy to have found him! Thank you Dr. Willard!!

I referred to Dr. Willard by my father, who is a family practice physician and he also was highly recommended by a friend whose son was treated by him. On my first visit, I received a diagnosis that was a bit of a shock - but over the next few months I learned that I was in good hands. He always answers my questions and puts a lot of thought into the next steps in my treatment. The condition is improving which is a huge relief. You don't feel like a statistic with Willard - he actually cares. Also the office has a nice friendly atmosphere with little to no wait time.

not a people person stay far away. if you want be treated like crap then go see him
