Best Doctor I've ever had he's caring and understanding and takes his time with each patient.
Dr Wren was great. Best doctor I ever had. Moved out of state or I'd still be seeing him.
I have seen and followed Dr. Wren from when he was in Harrisburg and transferred to Elizabethtown. He is a good doctor. The problem is I believe he is way overbooked to take care of patients the way they should be. I have seen a major issue with the staff, very rude, very short. I have changed doctor office due to the fact that I can not even get an appointment to see him or anyone for that matter. My daughter, she was not allowed back in school they thought she had pink eye until i got a doctor note. i called for an appointment at 8:00 am and said there was nothing available that day that i would get a call back the next day. Waited until 12:00 next day, NO CALL, called back said nothing available that day i will get a call the next day. I SAID NO FORGET IT, my daughter is missing school, i had to take her to one of those walk in care centers and sit there for 2 hours and she just had a piece of metal in her eye. I love Dr. Wren, but i will not be going back there.
Since my reg.Dr. is out indefinatly i had to make an appointment to see one of his fellow Dr.s at the same practice in order to get my scripts refilled and get 2-3 of them possibly adjusted in order to allow me to get back to feeling normal again. my reg. Dr. and i spent a lot of time figueing out what pain med combos worked best for me and my body and finally got it right so then we began adjusting my prescribed stimulant and anti depressant we have been getting close until i went to my appointment to see a Pa-c working under Dr. Wren. i was told i only needed the appointment to get the stimulant and anti depressant adjusted not every med i have been taking and has been prescribed to me at the doses i was asking for refills on for well over 6-9 months as prescribed by Dr. Mateer my reg. Dr., but instead Pa-C Van Hulle and Dr. Wren decided to change the doseage of everyone of my meds to doses that are so low i will go through withdrawl this is TOTALLY UNETHICAL
Very disappointed. This doctor did not follow up with my call regarding a cold/sinus infection. I was sick then had another cold a week after this time I thought maybe a sinus infection. Took the day off work, called at 8 am to try and get in or talk to someone about my symptoms. Had to call back several times. In the end the nurse called and said Dr.Wren said it sounds like a common cold - treat over the counter meds. This is the first time I have called a doctor in three years. I guess I expected better treatment.
I have been seeing Dr Wren for many years now with ongoing medical issues of my own. He has never dealt with just symptoms, but always pursued to the cause of the problem. He has always given me his full attention when in his office in a professional and friendly manner. I am even comfortable with the unpleasant examinations when he is the doctor in charge. I have been pleased and will continue to see him long into the future.
Dr Wren seemed very annoyed with me and said, quite defensively, that he had so many patients that he couldn't be expected to remember me. He made no attempt to review the chart before coming in the room and acted like I was imposing on him. He did not help me, ordered no tests, and refused to give me antibiotics for the infection for which I had seen him. I particularly dislike most of the office staff, who do not respect my confidentiality, and leave personal messages with test results on my answering service when they have been expressly told not to.
I can't ever see this Dr. When I am home sick from work and try to make an appt he is too busy already, EVEN WHEN I CALL AT OPENING TIME. He called me back to tell me I needed to rest and drink plenty of fluids. So I guess I'll go into work and tell them what the Dr said on the phone. "I'll just be over there in the corner taking a nap and drinking fluids." (I don't think my boss would buy that) The problem is that I can't just take off of work without a valid excuse, and I can't get a VALID excuse if the Dr. won't see me. A couple weeks later, I made an appt with another practitioner there (for a different ailment)resulting in making an appt. 3 months later for a checkup. He canceled the appt on me. So how far in advance do I have to make an appointment to actually be seen by this Dr?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
