List of Robert Lupo's Reviews
Dr. Lupo was condescending and did not listen to what I was saying during my last visit. The visit notes don't reflect what actually happened during the visit. He barely looked at me, pressed on my knee and seemed angry that my pain reaction was more than he thought it should be and his notes say he couldn't see the swelling in my knee because it is obese. Maybe he should have compared it to the other knee! His PA and nurse were very nice, but he was not at all. His office was also supposed to get approval for an injection, but that was never submitted to insurance; however, after the way he acted during the office visit, I don't want him touching me again. I won't go back there. I have 3 strikes against me - my age, the fact that I am female and lastly, being overweight. I was treated like I had no brains at all.
Had a very torn up shoulder, I researched surgeons and settled on Dr. Lupo. This proved to be one of the best decisions I could have made. With all the damage he had to repair i had a great recovery with minimal pain. If you are looking for a truly talented surgeon Dr. Lupo is your man.

Dr. Lugo is wonderful. My leg had been injured at age 11. I had been rejected by other surgeons because of the complexity of the procedure. Over the years the lower leg deviated from the knee 32°. He replaced the knee and corrected the deviation back to normal. Now both legs match. I no longer walk with a brace or cane.
Kept putting on non working soft cast. Didn't care. Staff is rude and very slow. Do not go here IMO. We ended going to Cleveland Clinic and were treated properly and correct cast was used. Broken ankle severity was not explained, nothing was explained. Then had to wait about half an hour to check out lady was slow as hell.
I had my wife go to Lupo because she has had knee problems for a long time. When she told him about how her knee popping out of place and having problems since then, he disregarded all of the things she had talked to him about involving having pain in her knee and didn’t want to help at all. Terrible!
Total knee replacement
Dr lupo replaced my left & right hip, then my right knee. He is fantastic surgeon with a wonderful bed side manner. He is the only orthopedic surgeon I would ever consider for my joint problems. He does wonderful job & I never had the pain other people complained about.
I had my left hip replacement Dec 30, 2021 by Dr Lupo. After that replacement I was not able to lift my leg to do a straight leg raise. I was told a month later that I had nerve damage due to the replacement. I was left with a scar that goes from my panty line area to5 inches into my quad… and that was supposed to be minimally invasive. I had to wear a straight leg brace for a month to regain quad control. I worked out in the gym daily before my hip replacement. After finding out I had nerve damage I was told I would recover from it in a year…. It has been over 2 years and my leg is still numb, I still have nerve pain in my incision site as well as a shooting pain down my quad. I also still have to be extremely careful while shaving that leg because I can’t feel anything. These are the Statistics for nerve damage. “Nerve injury is a relatively rare, yet potentially devastating complication of total hip arthroplasty (THA). The reported incidence of nerve injuries associated with THA ranges from 0.6 to 3.7%, with a higher risk found in patients receiving revision THAs (7.6%).” Mine was not a revision. I do not recommend this dr. I have pain daily shooting down my leg while I’m at work. I would have been better off going to the Dr that did my right hip…
I am two weeks out with a total knee replacement, still very much in the rehab stag. I could not be happier with the care that I have received up to this point. I am looking forward to being able to walking normal again. Thank You

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
