Upmc Urgent Care Erie-West's Online Review Report Card

I was very disappointed in the service we received here. I could say so much more, but I won't. I will say this though.. money is tight for most americans and health insurance is a luxury. DO NOT WASTE EITHER OF THEME HERE! YOU DESERVE RESPECT, EXPERTISE, CARE, PATIENCE and TO BE TREATED W/ DIGNITY when you visit a health care provider. UPMC urgent care WEST is not capable of offering any of those things. I advise you to go elsewhere and feel good about using your hard earned money and insurance plan.

Unfortunately, the nurse practitioner behaved like a contestant from Bad Girl's Club. I have severe symptoms that were ignored and looked over so that she could attempt to participate in a screaming match with my mother, simply due to her being corrected for misdiagnosing symptoms. She repeatedly snickered and laughed and rolled her eyes, she then shouted like a belligerent animal and told my mother that "this isn't a drive thru where you can order chicken, fries and a milkshake." Really? Chicken fries and a milkshake? I find that language very unsavory and frankly disgusting. After she attempted to turn the hospital room into a reality TV show argument, she then told us to get out and get service elsewhere because she will not be helping us any further. Did I mention that we said and did nothing wrong, or really, at all? I wish I could give 0 stars. The women at the front desk were absolutely repugnant, zero customer care or service, and my check in felt more like a criminal interrogation than a brief insurance review. She repeatedly asked for several forms of ID and then demanded my MOTHER'S full social security number. We will NEVER be back, and will be sure to take this complaint MUCH higher than a mere Google Review.

Came in for treatment of tick bite,infection, was turned away due to insurance reasons,offered to prepay and still turned away,

The nurses were amazing but unfortunately the nurse practitioner was rude, condescending, and judgmental. I believe I received less care than I should have based on her personal bias of my situation. Her name is Jennifer Renee Ram and she’s useless.

My son was seen for a broken pinky the whole staff was amazing, especially Jennifer Ramm. I would recommend coming here. I really appreciate all their help and kindness. Thank you again!

I waitedi in the waiting room very sick coughing hard they gave me one breathing treatment and. Xray. Didn' Say what was going on. Gave me a setriod to be senrr ro pmy pharmacy and sent me on my way. It is a full day later no prescription and they won't answer their phones. this.They are saying all lines are busy and it hangs up. I will be calling my insurance and whoever I have to to get this handled

I was seen by Nurse Practitioner Cassandra Lynn Shaffer and honestly she made my trip to Urgent Care as delightful as a trip to Urgent Care can possibly be! She was so reassuring and had the patience to answer all my questions and I can’t convey how badly I needed her knowledge and reassurance at that time. She really cares about making sure her patients feel heard and cared for and it’s so obvious. I really can’t speak highly enough of the visit I had with her. She’s so kind, informed, it was a treat. Very strongly recommend!

Absolutely ridiculous! Because I want in their network told me it would be 400-500 just to see a doctor. When I asked them how much it would be if I didn’t pay for insurance. They refused to tell me and pretty much told me to leave. Why do I even pay for insurance? This is why our health care system is total garbage!

Went in with my wife both of us sick. They did a nasal swab and said it would take 24 hours for the results. Called 26 hours later to get the results and they changed up their whole game. Lady just told me it takes 2-3 days to get results. Sigh...........

Staff was really friendly, they helped both my kiddos quickly and with respect.
