Paul Barone's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Barone has been my elderly father's physician for over 30 years. I have always appreciated his attentiveness to my father’s needs and questions. The office is managed with a calm atmosphere by helpful and friendly staff.

As a newer patient of Dr. Barone, I am appreciative for his honesty and flexibility. He really cares for his patients and it shows in the availability of appointments and the amount of time he takes with patients. I am very happy with my care so far and look forward to continue building a relationship based on health with the practice

He used to be good; now he barely looks up from his tablet. I sent my son to him almost 2 years ago with symptoms that I now know were Lymphoma. He sent my son for blood work, completely missed it. Fortunately, a random doctor at school saw something and sent him to another doctor, and they found it. And the message I got was that the bloodwork we had gotten several months before showed it clearly. I blame Dr. Barone for how late we caught it. I thank god for other doctors that save him. There are other examples in my family of his lack of care, but that is the most blatant. He almost killed my son.

I have been seeing Dr. Barone for at least 20 years (including when he was in the group practice on John Young Way). I have always been pleased with him, his medical staff and the office staff. This year I went for an annual physical exam in June and saw Kristina, one of the PAs. It was my first annual physical since being on Medicare for > 2 yrs. She wrote a prescription for some lab rests to be performed. I naturally assumed that the lab tests would be covered by Medicare. Medicare did not pay for the Lab Corp bill which totals $583. Medicare says, on the phone, that the lab work was not a medical necessity. Why didn’t the PA let me know this or why wasn’t the prescription written with a correct diagnosis code? Most troubling of all is why will no one from Integrated Health and Wellness return my calls?

I just found out a few days ago that they are only doing virtual appointments unless you need to get a physical. I will need to start looking for another doctor.

My mother who has severe scoliosis was a patient of Dr.Baron’s for 30 + years. Unfortunately for my mother Dr. Baron was not aware apparently that telling her to take 16 Advil a day for 20+ years to control her back pain would eventually lead to complete Renal Failure. When he finally noticed her kidney function declining he sent her to a nephrologist who told her she should have been on Oxy all these years instead of Advil and that is why her Kidneys no longer work. Now at almost 79 years of age her quality of life is awful and she says almost daily that she wishes she didn’t blindly follow his instructions for so many years thinking he knew what he was doing and she trusted him.

DO NOT waste your money or time ! It’s a joke.

I've been going to Dr barone for many years. He's dedicated, honest and makes you feel comfortable. He is a great doctor.. thankful to have found him many years ago..

I feel like a patient, not a product on an assembly line.

Not doing telemedicine even to tell people that they need to see someone else for something. Very reckless of a doctor during the pandemic
