Penn Ob-Gyn Chester County Exton's Online Review Report Card

I left in tears from pain…do not go to Dr. Brazerol. I was pregnant with my first baby in 2021 and cervix checks were really painful for me. They recommended a cervix check when I got my strep test. He was so rough I almost jumped off the table…with no patience at all he told me to relax, shoved his finger in again and finished the exam, so rude and cold. I was in shock by the pain so much so that I went to the bathroom and cried so hard my mask fell off into the toilet. I could barely walk to my car. When I got home I called to tell them I was in pain and they said “did you see Dr. Brazerol (in a joking) tone…he has really big fingers”. Unbelievable that a Dr who is known to be rough and painful is allowed to practice there.

Terrible experience. Would not go back. The pompous nature of several of the providers leaves little room for actual care.

Dr. Mecurio did not address my concerns. He acted like it was a problem to request some simple bloodwork. I switched providers due to the lack of care I received there. I will not be having my baby or any future babies with this practice again. Additionally, when I questioned whether my children could visit their new sibling postpartum at the hospital, it was like I was asking for the moon. Clearly not a practice that values women or their priorities as mothers.

I have always had a good experience for regular care and had my concerns addressed when needed. Since finding out I was pregnant they have done nothing short of follow through over and over again with my care and have been consistent with monitoring all concerns and any abnormalities. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a practice who cares.

It was hard experience for 3rd trimester pregnant woman. The staffs did NOT explain about processes of my medical test well, so I wasted my day, and my baby and I skipped a meal. I hope they will be thoughtful for pregnant women.

Negative stars if I could. I was a new patient at this practice in 2019. I went for an annual well visit and handed the provider (Peg) my medical history and we went over it. Exam was fine. I get my medical records sent to my phone and I got an alert that my medical record was updated. Come to find out, she took it upon herself to diagnose me with “fibromyalgia” and “anxiety” meanwhile, I provided her with my diagnosis which is a nerve condition. I don’t have anxiety either. Peg is NOT even qualified to make these diagnoses if I were to show signs of either. Nerve conditions and anxiety aren’t her specialty. I immediately contacted PENN and they apologized for this and contacted the office to remove this information. I received a phone call from the office which I didn’t respond to. For obvious reasons, I did not return.

Can't say enough good things about all of the staff at Penn Ob/Gyn Chester County. From the receptionists to the nurses to the doctors and physician assistants, every experience I have had with them since switching to this practice has been wonderful. Even their billing specialist went above and beyond on my behalf when my insurance wouldn't cover something that I really needed. I wish I had switched practices sooner!

Absolutely horrific experience. After having a miscarriage they would not see me until my “scheduled first OB apt”, which was a month away. While I was freaking out not knowing what to do or what was happening, they just told me to go the ER where I had to wait for 6 hours instead of the office seeing me. After having the miscarriage I was experiencing extremely uncomfortable symptoms and called to seek help. One person told me it’s normal while the other person told me to go to the ER. Would never recommend this practice as they don’t know how to properly care for women who have miscarriages. I recently found a new practice who treated me with compassion and cared.

Since this practice changed from Associates for Women's Medicine to Penn OB/GYN, I routinely have to wait 10+ minutes on hold just to reach someone to make an appointment. I used to get reminder cards in the mail for yearly appointments and they don't even do that anymore. I can't even book for the following year, which I've always done. Their female doctors are booked through the end of December and they're not booking past 2020 right now (November). It's absolutely ridiculous and while most people would blame Covid, this is year after year since the practice sold.

I’ve had the best experience switching my OB care to PENN OBGYN. Due to COVID I only met two physicians prior to giving birth to my daughter.. majority of my appointments were with Cassie and Peggy- both amazing providers. I had a condition where I had a lot of annoying complaints and each provider took what I had to say seriously and ultimately I needed to be induced early.. because of their knowledge and taking the time to listen and diagnose me instead of pushing my symptoms off as “normal pregnancy symptoms” my daughter is here and safe today. Dr. Sloane delivered my daughter and I truly believe that my quick recovery is because of him. I would also like to note that Chelsea, their Rn is a god send. Both PRNN OBGYN and their patients are lucky to have her!
