Do not use this E.R. unless there is no alternative !! My son got mauled by a dog and had gaping wounds running blood and triage did not even look at him. Tried to tell me that a tight bandana did not qualify as a tourniquet ? People waiting hours. Nurses inside E.R. bays all on cell phones at nurses station while elderly patients line the halls in beds. Run away from this place if capable !!

Very slow to respond to patient needs. My husband was admitted due to horrid head pain and the machine went off all day and night. When you use call bell they say they will let nurse know and no one comes until maybe the 5th 6th time calling. Then eventually they would come and press the silent button which last about 20 seconds then repeat over and over even after telling them that doesn't last and can they do anything else so he can rest. They definitely don't do hourly rounds because we were there 3 days and only saw an aide when sugar needed checked which is once per shift. They put him in to manage pain which was suppose to be every 2 hours initially but then would not have anyone come for over an hour after calling ( first calling 4-5 times yet again). They did run a lot of tests to rule out anything serious which we are grateful for, but it's ridiculous to have to wait that long for help every single time for days. We both work in the medical field so we know all to well how busy things can be, but after 3 days I have to think that it's not a bad day or moment problem, but that the bar needs raised.

I was in the er yesterday, sent there by my dr. Couldn't breathe, and it sounded like fluids in my lungs. I've had a lot of health issue's finally not high risk. The er called my dr who wanted my lungs checked, x-rays, and oxygen levels checked. They put in a had a sore throat and ear ake, tested me for streap and covid, and then made me keep sitting for hours longer in the waiting room. When I asked why 3 people got their x-rays done hours after I showed up. The lady looked at me and said idk what to tell we , we're not able to put any more orders in at this time." She also ignored me when I told her my back and stomach pains were so painful I couldn't sit anymore, and she ok talk to a nurse. BUT there were no nurses because I was sitting in the waiting room! My drs office had called this morning asking why they didn't see my x-rays and test. I let them know they refused me the services, and they had me go somewhere else. Very horrible experience, and I wish I could have filed a complaint against the lady.

I gave birth to my son there 2 weeks ago and I have to say it was the absolute best experience, my Nurse Bobbi was an Angel sent from god! I couldn’t have done it without her and my Midwife! The whole team was super friendly and nice and made me and my spouse feel welcomed. Especially because I was super nervous this was my first birth!

Emergency room. Came in with 2 people waiting. 3 1/2 hours later we are still waiting. Rediculous.

This hospital is a joke. Don’t mess with the big bad security guards who kicked out a 9 month old baby cuz she “was being to loud”

Upmc,some are kind some shouldn't be allowed to even speak to people if they don't Ike there job move on! 1 year of that i went elsewhere.

They need to make many changes within this facility. Maybe new management?
