Ahn Hempfield Neighborhood Hospital's Online Review Report Card

My mother in law went in because she got a cyst on her leg. The doctor didn’t wait for the numbing medicine to work and just started the procedure. Ended up she had to be transferred to a different hospital to get surgery because it was too big. Waited 3 days and got nothing but disrespectful staff. They didn’t clean it for 2 days, they didn’t even check on it pretty much the whole time she was there. Every time she asked for something, it took them about 2 hours to get what she needed. They didn’t check on her all day or night unless she pressed the buzzer. The doctor came in and said everything looked good even thought she sat there for 3 days waiting to get transferred to a different hospital but now all of a sudden everything looks fine going off the same results from 3 days ago. All they did was complain when they got called to a room and they like to talk about all the patients. Doctors at this place only care about a paycheck and nothing else. Worst hospital ever!!

Came in with CHEST PAIN and a pulse at 154 ... its 3 hours later and im still sitting here. We are leaving. I hope I don't have a serious heart issue. This is horrible patient care.

Came in with a broken hand, waited 3 hours for X-ray only to be told they have someone that looked at my pictures already I just have to wait for a room 4 hours later and I’m still here in the waiting room waiting. If you are in pain DO NOT COME HERE or you will sit in pain for hours on end while the staff sits and encourages you to go to another hospital if you want good careUPDATE— still here 3 hours later finally got a room but now we get to sit here and listen to the group of nurses sit there and talk about the bad patient they just had

Wait time was acceptable but be prepared to be billed at time of visit and then again and again. Completely convoluted billing practices.

Worst experience ever. The most unprofessional unpleasant group of people you’ll ever meet in the health field. They will disrespectfully lie to your face while billing you 1000’s for shotty unprofessional work. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

My daughter's had a low grade fever for 3 days, I told her she needed to go to the ER to be tested for Covid. She's been waiting well over an hour, listening to the girls who register patients talking about going out to a bar drinking, & now they're discussing how rude patients have been today.What happened to decorum and respect? Disappointed in AHN.She's still there waiting who knows how much longer.

Been sitting here for 7 hours now cramping and in a lot of pain. I called in and said I’m sitting in my car for a minute any idea how much longer it will be. I was told I was next just waiting on a bed. So I sent my bf to finally pick up my daughter and came back inside only to sit here for an additional hour and watch not one but 2 others be called back before me. Absolutely absurd, I wouldn’t mind so much of when I was being told I didn’t get anything but attitude from the staff. Very disappointed!

I go there for all my prenatal blood work, ultrasounds etc. They have been nothing but wonderful. Very professional, friendly and outgoing. They make me feel like I'm important and not just another "number" Environment is clean. Over all Im very pleased.

I just wanted to say that usually when I come to this hospital it has fantastic service but lately it has changed where I’ve been here twice now and have got disrespected which is I’m sick I do not want to deal with. Heres the story: I have had a concussion for 2 weeks and on 11.17 I decided the pain was worse than usual (as the pain had been increasing), I understand there’s a 3 hour wait with 7 people waiting so that’s not the issue. My most concerned issue is that they didn’t check me for my head but my rash. Sure I mentioned I had one but a doctor took a picture asked me if I changed detergent and left. Left me for another long while and came back with “i don’t know, see a dermatologist”. So I asked if they could check my head since that’s why I was there and I got the response “no, you’re all checked out to go” and I said that my main focus was my head to which never got seen. Was 20 words worth over $100.. no not at all- especially for something I already had under control and needed something else to check. I know I’m just one person but never again.
