This clinic has archaic and obtuse rules. I don't feel they treat recovering addicts well at all. I guess- dosed for a week in Myrtle Beach, SC. Upon my arrival back at MedMark, around 11:45, I was denied my dose because of their rules. They said they had to call the clinic in SC to make sure that I hadn't dosed there in the morning. There was absolutely NO WAY I could have dosed at the Myrtle Beach clinic at 5 am and drove to Greensburg PA in 6+ hours! It’s a 10 1/2 hour drive. I'm

This place has really improved in the 2 years. Councellors are pretty decent an the nurses aren't as mean an judgemental as before. I would recommend it for anyone trying to improve their life with medicated assisted treatment

Awesome staff from the doctors to the nurses to the counselors and front office and security. Everyone is out to get you off our addiction. They humanize everyone and is a real safe environment thank you to everyone thank you and keep up the great, thankless jobs you're doing! this place is absolutely terrible. was a client there for 3 years. never missed an appt. never had a dirty urine. I get married come back fro. honeymoon. never quit taking my suboxone. but yet they tell me my urine has nothing in it and get thrown out .

I love this place. Very professional staff and Kathy is amazing and so warm and caring and inviting whatever you do you need to keep her!!! My only complaint is the dose capping it has been proven in multiple studies that dose capping is not efficient. 1 dose size does not fit all!! allowing nobody to go over 100 mg is a bit crazy. Please reconsider this there are so many people that could have this Clinic that have to switch to rhj just to avoid not being able to go over 100 mg. I could see maybe 200 or 250 being a bit too much but 100mg? Seriously? Other than that this place has saved my life from heroin addiction

I've been in recovery at MedMark in Greensburg for the past 6 years and have been doing very well and am right on track due to the wonderful staff. Kathy, the receptionist is so warm and caring, and is just a lovely first experience. The counseling staff REALLY cares and is 100% involved in your successful recovery. The nursing staff are congenial and professional. All in all, I would highly recommend MedMark to anyone who is serious about their recovery and willing to totally commit to the program. They actually help you feel good about yourself again.

Even though all the MAT literature & even the federal regulations say dose capping (limiting) is bad practice and should not be used, MedMark Greensburg was capping doses at 100mg. I requested an increase after being at 125mg for 2 years (I got to 125mg in California prior to transferring here), and I was denied. I requested again...denied (all without ever being able to fill out an increase request—something utilized by all 5 other clinics I’ve been a patient at). When I finally got to see Dr. Conforti (after several attempts), he said “We don’t like anyone on more than 100mg.” So the denial was in fact a clinic-wide dose cap and not a health, medication or reason based on anything specific to me individually.On top of that, I had a spine injury & surgery in 2016 leaving me with issues such as, among other things, neurogenic bladder issues (lack of bladder control) and had a letter from my neurologist explaining the issue that I can’t give urine for monthly drug testing, and requested they do oral swab for me (again, something every other clinic I’ve been to does with a doctor request). I was denied by nursing. Doctors or director weren’t even consulted. Nursing told me “we don’t have oral swabs.” So, I had to sit in the lobby for hours until I could leave a urine sample (as I said, I can’t “go” on command because of the incontinence, and the only other option is to accept a positive result just to be able to dose and get to work). This was a disaster waiting to happen, and it eventually did.Last week, I was tested twice in an 8-day period, which had never happened before in my two years at this clinic, so it caught me off guard & therefore wasn’t able to even TRY to be prepared to test. My schedule didn’t allow me the time to sit around for hours until I could “go” so I got slapped with a positive test and temporarily lost my take homes when I’m not even using drugs.So I’m forced to transfer & drive an extra 40 min every day, unless I want to be put in this position at least once a month (no thanks). I was referred by several acquaintances to the Discovery House in Pittsburgh and she said they absolutely will use the oral swab method with a doctor explanation/request, and she was quite surprised & a little confused that MedMark refuses to do it (which I could understand, but even with a doctor’s request? Isn’t that a violation of patient rights under the ADA?)To be fair, the clinic director (Jen, I think), did thank me for bringing the dose cap/limit to her attention, that she was not aware medical staff was capping doses across the board. So at some point in their hierarchy, they do have good intentions. Other than that, this clinic has had more hoops to jump through than any other clinic I’ve been to.Front office receptionist Kathy is absolutely amazing. No matter how rudely I’ve seen patients treat her, she puts a smile on and treats you like family. Tabitha (counselor) is nice...heck, they’re all nice. No hard feelings. Just think people should be aware of how outdated & draconian this medical staff’s approach to medication-assisted treatment is. I understand there must be rules due to the nature of these medications, but there are many rules at MedMark that are excessive and more restrictive than the state law requires, and these things make MAT even more of a hassle for many patients, when it should be a safety net for us to have while we work to get our lives back in order.MMT has saved my life and restored many relationships and functionality I would absolutely not have otherwise, and I’m so grateful for it. But it’s gotten to a point at MedMark where driving an extra 40 minutes to Pittsburgh to dose is the better option.

Great place to overcome addiction and get a fresh start but long wait for Doctor's
