Family members broke an ankle and within one hour they discharged them, putting them under alot of medication and releasing them with a broken ankle all cause they dont have the staff to fix it they made it worse

I had a ruptured ear drum and lost my hearing as well as some other bad respiratory symptoms. Went to York Hospital first and had to wait, as usual. Drove here to Hanover. I had a great experience. I was greeted with friendly staff who immediately took great care of me. Not nearly as busy, quiet, and everyone was professional. Kristine in the ED was especially helpful and made sure I was seen promptly and in a timely matter. I know where I’ll be going next time my family as an emergency!

Great hospital, with great staff all are very friendly and helpful. Well knowledgeable and went above and beyond for me. Thanks you all for everything.

This place not only took forever but when they were drawing blood the nurse bruised me up and it was very painful. This hospital has almost killed my mother by trying to discharge her as she was bleeding out. Multiple family members of mine have said horrible things about this hospital and I totally agree. Dont come here!

The nurses are so nice there. I feel like they should have more doctor on staff at night and not just one. I was in a car accident last night and my body was broke down I could not move. I was there for a long time I don't know if that's usual but I got the proper treatment. Jordyn a nurse there was incredibly patient and professional. One of the nurses named Lindsay. Completely opposite of Jordyn. Thanks for taking care of me when my body was broken..

UPMC Hanover was hands down the single greatest experience I've ever had in a hospital! My grandfather was admitted for abdominal pain and ended up having to have his gallbladder removed. He's 94, speaks Spanish predominantly, and is quite weary of strangers. Everyone, and I mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON (with the exception of one rude nurse in the ICU, complaining about familial visitation, which is completely ridiculous and unprofessional!) was incredibly attentive, caring, and approachable. My mother and I were there every day for over 2 weeks and were treated with respect, kindness, and courtesy by all. I highly recommend UPMC Hanover for everything from a scraped knee to serious surgery. They have my complete trust, respect, and admiration. They can certainly teach Philly hospitals a thing or two about patient care. Every member of the staff deserves a raise and praise! On the off chance that anyone from administration reads this, I'd just like to say: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making a very difficult time for me as painless as possible. At the time of this post, my grandfather is currently undergoing physical therapy and working to regain his strength. The staff, nurses, doctors are so professional, and caring. They treat you in such a wonderful way.

my mother was admitted on 8/1 she is 88 years old she suffered a stroke things are not looking good at all i went there to see her and was told i couldnt they said the only one allowed in was her poa id really hate not being able to say good bye to my mother before she passes very sad whos in charge of the lobby?? went there today was told 2 visitors could go up for 1 hour first i was told only the poa could go up then i was told they would have to call the charge nurse on that unit so i waited then i was asked how i was related to my mother she is on comfort measures only and her family would like to say good bye to her i felt very unwelcome i would not reccomend this hospital i contacted the support person and was pretty much blown off by her

Had a near death experience and spent four days in ICU. They saved my life and they worked feverishly to get me back healthy again.I left the ICU and was treated just as good until I was healthy and released. I owe my life to the doctors and nurses there. One person stood out. Julio in ICU was the cream of the crop . Don’t mean to minimize others that saved me but he was the most caring individual and hard working . I give all them credit for dealing with sick and wounded year round. I witnessed how difficult this job is.
