Dr Makem removed a blockage in my left leg and followed up with cardiovascular testing of my total system which led to discover heart blockages requiring triple bypass open heart surgery all with a positive outcome. Dr Makem is very patient and answered all my questions clearly and concisely. He never rushed me or seemed to be in a big hurry to get out of the room as many doctors seem to be. I recommend dr Makem watch a presentation by David Diamond at: hhtps://www.utube.com/watch?v=psnkNqLA40s This explains my position as to why I refuse to take Statin drugs. Thank you Dr Makem for your excellent patient care.

I had a active heart attack, went to emergency room had angioplasty done. He found two coronary arteries blocked and deployed 2 stints through groin,arm was given proper pain medication and up moving around that day. The Cath Lab Team at the hospital St Rose San Martin was phenomenal. Called to ask a question and he called right back. Highly recommend.

DR MAKAM HAS MADE AN EVERLASTING IMPRESSION ON MY MOTHER (HIS PATIENT) AND ME, A REGISTERED NURSE OF 20 YEARS. IT IS HARD FOR ME TO SAY I FEEL COMFORTABLE PUTTING MY LIFE IN ANY DOCTOR'S HANDS AS I HAVE SEEN SOME UNSPEAKABLE THINGS DOCTORS HAVE DONE. DR MAKAM IS VERY PLEASANT, NEVER MAKES YOU FEEL RUSHED, APPEARS TO GENUINELY CARE ABOUT WHAT HIS PATIENTS ARE SAYING, HE IS VERY PLEASANT AND COMMUNICATES WITH HIS PATIENTS AND FAMILIES. HE HAS SUCH A WAY ABOUT HIM I WOULD NOT EVER WANT MY MOTHER TO BE SEEN BY ANY OTHER CARDIOLOGIST, I HAVE COMPLETE FAITH IN HIM AND KNOW HE WILL DO THE RIGHT THING FOR HIS PATIENTS. I HAVE TREMENDOUS RESPECT FOR HIM AND THINK THERE ARE MANY PRACTICING PHYSICIANS OUT THERE WHO COULD LEARN A LOT ABOUT HOW TO BE A DOCTOR AND REMEMBER WHY THEY BECAME ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
