Steven R Growney's Online Review Report Card

Dr Growney has been seeing my parents for several years now-he is calm & patient with them-gives them the attention they need & answers all questions. His bedside manner is so reassuring.

The annual physical in April 2018 was actually very good - I felt it was complete. However, I guess I don't get sick enough. Last year April 2020 I thought I should go back for another physical but the practice and I agreed it should be canceled due to COVID (this was April 2020). I rang back 12 months later to be told because it was over 3 years since my last visit (by 1 month), I wasn't considered a current patient and he wasn't taking new patients. Probably not the place to go if you don't get sick regularly or if you don't reschedule - at their request! - during a pandemic..

I saw Dr. Steven Growney as a new patient and was thoroughly impressed with his attention to detail, professionalism and high degree of medical knowledge. I am a physician myself, and so I expect a capable MD, and consider him to be the consumate "Doctor's Doctor." He took the time to answer all of my questions. The office staff was also very nice and efficient as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Growney as a family doctor.

He could have cared less about my ailing mothers symptoms. Office inefficient and charge for 2 min phone call! They are all around terrible. Please avoid

I argue that Dr Growney and his staff to be absolutely the best in everything from patient management to treatment to follow-up---Dr. Growney has proven to be excellent in his knowledge, care, treatment, and support. A detailed communicator and very thorough diagnostician, Growney tells you what he is doing and why throughout the visit, he never hedges or stutters on the explanation. And, of course, Dr. Growney rarely stutters or avoids the unpleasant side of his job, if something is minor or trivial, he classifies this to be its definition. More serious, he focuses on that and what you must do to reduce or eliminate its effect or impact. Unlike, other doctors, one never feels rushed or threatened, and you never leave his care without knowing he does care too!

His staff reccomended that I go somewhere else for care. I got sick on a Monday, and was ordered to go home by my employer at 0800. His office is only five minutes from my employer, so I stopped by hoping I might be seen. At 0820, an employee arrived and told me to go home and call back to see if he had any openings. She reccomended a minute clinic when I stressed a sense of medical urgency. I was in need of medical services, and she pushed me away. I have a new doctor now.
