After calling to find out if he could help with my knee issue I was told he was the doctor to see at this practice, however after making the appointment and tedious drive, I was basiclly told he wasn't the right doctor and I should go see a doctor in Philadelphia. When I asked why we were told why he dealt my condition he said "They probably assumed you were older". Whomever we spoke to was told my age. I'm not sure what difference that would make as a knee replacement isn't the treatment. Therefore I ended up wasting nearly an entire day just to see him and he seemed quite eager to leave to see his next patient.

Dr Elia did total knee replacements (right & left) two years ago. First knee then 4 months later the second. Out of hospital the morning after surgery. Very little pain and no complications. Eco mend Dr Elia to all considering knee replacement. Only needed short amount of therapy. Very good experience and have no pain. Excellent!

Dr. Elia is the absolute BEST orthopedic specialist in the Philadelphia surrounding area. I have gone to him a few times with horrible pain in both knees and when I say that he gave me my life back, believe every word! In addition to being the best in his field, he is also very nice, patient, and really cares about how his patients are treated. I have been going to Dr. Elia for several years now and always recommend him to others.
