Kindred Hospital Philadelphia - Havertown's Online Review Report Card

When you love someone who want the best possible care. Well, you will find exceptional care here at Kindred. I had a close friend who required pulmonary assistance through mechanical ventilation ( due to a covid dx). She remained at kindred for several weeks and during those weeks I quickly realized how much these nurses, respiratory therapists, Dr's, CNA's truly cared about their patients as I was there M-F (11-2 pm daily). My friend required full assistance in all areas of care and I can't thank them enough for all the love and compassion they showed, not only to my friend, but for the visitors as well. Dr. Hussain, her in house Physician, is the most compassionate/skilled physician I have ever known and he was so incredibly humble when I expressed that to him. He will never know the positive impact he had on my friend, myself and the family as well. Everyone spoke to my friend when administering medication or any care given to her, even when she was asleep, to inform her of what was happening. I loved that! (Thank you to all the 3rd floor nurses: Ashley, Luz, Shay, Thias, Mariel, Germaine and so many more). The respiratory therapists ( Jason, Noel, Christine and John) had so much compassion during all attempts to wean her from ventilation and throughout her final moments. You, my friends, are amazing! Nichole, from housekeeping always offered me something to drink/ comfort care and Howard at the front desk was always pleasant and conversational. I can't thank you enough for the quality care you gave my friend and all the support you gave to me and her family during this very tough time. Thank you so much! By the way, I am an OT by profession so I do take quality care very seriously :) To the CEO: You have great staff and should treat them so incredibly well to maintain their employment in order to continue to maintain excellence at Kindred.

everyone is so nice and helpful

Very small chance (like 2%) of getting through to anyone at this entire facility, everyone is too busy. Don't call too much or you will make the nurses angry. Most of the time it is very nice dealing with the staff, nurses, and Dr's when they're available. But it is a bit strange how hard it is to call a hospital or family member, never experienced anything like that at any other hospital.

The doctors at the original hospital told me to put my brother on palliative care. That was not an option. He went to Kindred Hospital-Havertown and is now off his ventilator! (3 months on the vent and 4 months in bed) It was God and the ENTIRE staff (doctors, nurses, respiratory teams, CNA's, custodians, case managers) at Kindred that did that. By the time he left, everyone knew him and would stop and say hello. He was discharged from the third floor and is now getting inpatient OT and PT on the first floor.

I just left Kindred rehab after being hospitalized for 3 months due to Covid. I don't even know where to start about the care I received at Kindred. The staff is truly unbelievable. They truly care about their patients and were born to do what they do. Sam (physical therapy) is unbelievable. She will push you to success and is so motivational. Erin (occupational therapy) made me feel so comfortable during washing and changing clothes. She gave me my first shower in 3 months and it was phenomenal. The nursing staff and aids make you feel at home especially Ashley and Lori. I highly recommend Kindred and I have alot of experience with rehabs considering prior to this my mother was in and out of rehabs for 3 years from cancer. The place is beautiful and the staff is wonderful.

Happy with my experience being at Kindred. Everyone from the security at the front desk to the nurses to the doctors have been wonderful. Anytime I asked for anything it was never any trouble. Dr. Tareen is great! Tia (RN) and Jason (RT) were so good and are just wonderful people. Jessica was very helpful. Thanks to all the staff that helped me during my stay and looking forward to getting home soon.

I have to amend my first review. Very odd that every time my husband was to be discharged...a health issue came up and he ended up in a hodpital. Something is not right

I was at kindred hospital and transferred down to kindred to rehab the staff there are amazing and very quick to respond to patients needs And wants I definitely recommend them for treatment

This hospital was recommended to me by a former patient who was here and I would recommend it as well. The staff treated me very well and were very professional. Was pleased with my stay.
