Dr. Rooker and her staff are fantastic. Everyone from the staff at the front desk to her nurses , physicians assistant, and of corse Dr. Rooker treat you like a person, not a number. Kind, friendly, and very professional. If you need a urologist, I would highly recommend Dr. Gina Rooker..

Dr Rooker and her staff are very caring. Kim is an angel and always makes me feel comfortable. Great patient care!

I called during business hours and Dr. Rooker's phone system redirected me to an on call urologist whose phone system redirected me to another office whose phone system redirected me to another office whose receptionist refused to deal with me and insisted I call this number again. Dr. Rooker is literally impossible to get ahold of. I have a catheter that needs removing, and I feel held hostage by this doctor. I guess I'll figure out how to remove it myself.

Like another reviewer, stuck her fingers in me w/ no warning. When I told her I wanted her to warn me first if she was ever going to do that again, she ignored me -- actually pretended I hadn't said anything and started talking about something else. I brought it up again, told her I'd felt unsafe and no gyno had ever done that to me w/o telling me first. She told me my being startled had nothing to do with her medical conclusions. I told her I wasn't questioning her medical conclusions but wanted my concern heard. Her response? She rolled her eyes & charged out of the room without even explaining what my diagnosis meant. Also had no bedside manner & didn’t even look at my intake ppw (I know bc I completed it in the exam room and it was behind her on the counter untouched the whole time). Remember: if anything like this happens to you, you can report to the board of medicine, your insurance company, & other agencies, & you can talk to a doctor’s supervisor. I'd never reported a doc b4.

When I scheduled with Dr. Rooker, I thought I was lucky to be scheduled with a female urologist, as there are so few. Boy, was I wrong. Like another reviewer on a different site (ratemds), I had the experience that she shoved her fingers into my vagina with virtually no warning, which really shocked me. Immediately after that happened, I told her (pretty darn calmly, although I felt shaken) that I wanted her to let me know if she was ever going to put anything inside me during a future exam. Her response? She actually behaved as though I hadn’t said anything. She did not make any response whatsoever, but started talking about something else. I was totally confused by this, so after she had said a few things, I returned to what had happened. I told her I’ve had many gyno exams but have never had a doctor give me zero indication that they were about to put a finger inside me, and I that I’d felt startled and uncomfortable. This time, she responded by actually rolling her eyes at me and telling me that “my being startled had nothing to do with her medical conclusions from the exam.” Then when I told her I wasn’t questioning her medical conclusions but still wanted to be able to raise my concern, she actually charged out of the room. That’s right. It was the equivalent of her hanging up the phone on me. No goodbye, no “you can check out now,” nothing about scheduling any follow-up with her. That’s how she responds when women tell her something she did made them feel unsafe. On top of all that, she had absolutely no bedside manner, treated me like I was an inanimate object, didn’t even look at my history or intake paperwork (I know because I had finished filling it out in the exam room, and it was on the counter behind her the entire time, untouched), and cut off the conversation before even explaining to me what my diagnosis meant. I’ve never filed a complaint about a doctor before. After this appointment, I filed reports with her supervisor, the Board of Medicine, my insurance company, and another agency. I’m so relieved I had asked my husband to be in the appointment with me — having him as a witness made this experience more bearable. Never, never again.

I have been going to Dr Rooker for many years & with her help getting my issue under control dont know what I would have done

I never write reviews, but I couldn't let this one go. Dr. Rooker was the most unfriendly, uncaring, unprofessional doctor. I don't feel that she listened to me at all or explained anything. She said she was going to feel my bladder. I thought that meant to palpate the outside of my stomach. Instead, without warning, she inserts finger(s) inside of my vagina quickly. I was mortified, not to mention I had a tampon in. Then she told me to limit my caffeine intake, and left the room. Horrible!

I go to the Ohio Valley Hospital. Staff is friendly, minimal wait to be seen seen my the doctor. Dr. Rooker has a calming demeanor and put me at ease during an unpleasant experience. She is both professional and competent

Went twice. Had urine tested. Before results, given prescription for urinary tract infection. Questioned why with no proof. No explanation. Didn't fill prescription, and never went back.
