List of Zahid Akram's Reviews
I can understand why people might say Dr. Akram comes off as arrogant and dismissive. In my experience the doctor comes off as extremely competent. A very good listener who takes a lot of time. Very thorough. Initial feelings of arrogance and dismissal were kindly met with understanding of skill and qualification. He diagnosed me correctly, treated me accordingly and worked out plans with me to alleviate side effects. The staff, however could use some work. Many times I’ve called for rx refills to be left on hold in dead quiet and hung up on. More than 3 times after waiting for 10+ minutes in silence. Office staff complains openly to each other in front of you and is not the definition of professionalism.
Unprofessional disrespectful and arrogant liar. Firstly i was ordered a test not covered by my insurance. Instead of calling the insurance to check the if it was covered they just did the test anyways and billed and their only resolution was to offer me half price. Instead of owning up to their mistake they make me suffer. Secondly he said I refused treatment which I never did. Third a follow up Telehealth visit was supposed be done for me after work they call me a half hour before my shift ends and say I have to be at the appointment in a half hour. Apparently listening skills aren’t something they taught him. Will never go back
My first visit for an evaluation was very professional and resulted in a complex diagnosis. Not only did he suspect Parkinsons but also possible related disorders. I have additional visits scheduled for more detailed testing. He is very thorough in his evaluation exam. If you have any falling issues, I recommend that you see him first..
had an appointment today - Doctor spent a lot time with me - explained everything , had a plan for my treatment, will be going back
I took my mom to see Dr. Akram. He was a total jerk.
Dr Akrim has treated me for years for epilepsy. He explained more to me than my neurological surgeon ever did after 8surgeries. I learned things that I never knew. Great doctor !
I do not know if it is his ethic background but he was very arrogant and condescending to my wife by herself and very lucky I wasn’t present at the the appointment ....I would have had no trouble in telling him how ignorant and unprofessional he is.Some of the comments from others hit the nail on the head with this guy.
The woman I spoke to from his after-hours answering service was unbelievably rude and condescending. I will never see this Doctor now because I am so disgusted with his staff.
Very condescending. Talked poorly about 3 other doctors. Didn't want to hear about what has or hasn't worked for my migraines. He wrote me a script that was not covered by insurance and cost $3400. He gave me a coupon that was 2 years expired. 1 of the nurses at the office is nice the other makes you feel like you are bothering her. I will not return.
he was very nice to myself and my mom. he explained to her that her brain was slowing down and was giving her the best advice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
