She barely came in the room, did not seem interested in listening to me, asked few questions and gave advice I could have got from Google.

Several visits. No exam. Jumped to conclusions. Ordered multiple invasive useless tests. Recommended unnecessary surgery. Ignored my requests for colonoscopy. Allowed me to bleed for months! FINALLY my bowel obstructed. Had surgery, surgeon found FOUR problems! I thought she was helping me. Plus there were multiple rescheduled appointments and canceled appointments!

Dr Bani Chandler Roland is a phenomenal doctor and person. I have been to so many G.I doctors however she is the only doctor who took the time to comprehensively study my history, order the appropriate tests and genuinely cared enough to solve my complex issues so that I was able to eat again. Only after she was treating me did I learn how highly qualified and credentialed she is. If you are in need of a motility expert look no further, she is a most caring , considerate and kind person and doctor with the best bedside manner.

Dr. Chander Roland was the first doctor who took the time to listen. After seeing multiple doctors for chronic nausea and abdominal pain, she was the first to make a diagnosis and begin treatment for Gastroparesis. She is the reason I can eat again. Highly recommend especially if you have had years of symptoms and looking for a highly skilled specialist

Dr. Roland is a kind and thorough doctor. There was a little wait but very good doctor I was anxious about seeing a doctor for my IBS especially a woman doctor. But my family doctor said Dr. Roland was the best. After talking to her I was more comfortable having her as a doctor and seeing how much research she's done for patients with IBS I know I’m in the right place. I would recommend Dr. Roland to anyone looking for a doctor who knows their stuff and if your nervous like I was, don’t be. She’s very professional. Fewer Details

If I could give her zero stars I would. She never examined me and spoke to me from the hallway, never even entering the room. She does not take her patients seriously and makes you wait months for testing. She is the worst doctor I have ever “seen,” in quotes because she never even examined me and downplayed my worries. Because of her lack of adequate care, I lost so much weight that my gallbladder had to be removed, in an emergency midnight operation. After the manometry testing that she made me wait months for, her office called to say I needed a procedure to correct the gastro problem I had. I never went back. I have a new doctor and new affiliated hospital. No wonder she left New York City. But I worry for the people in her “care” now.

Waited 45 minutes for one appt and she was a no show for a procedure. Disappointed and unimpressed.

I am not surprised Dr Roland got 11 one star ratings (more than half of her reviewers). I, like a previous reviewer would give her 0 stars if I could. My daughter had a multitude of stomach issues and also had had a stomach tumor. Dr Roland left us waiting for over an hour and when she returned she went into her office with her PA and ate a very unrushed lunch. A while later the PA came out and handled the appointment. Having so much invested, we said nothing. The Dr. only came in at the end and offered no apology. After all my daughters testing was complete the Dr. called me on the phone unexpectedly. Since I was bagging my groceries at A&P at that moment, I asked if I could call her right back. She said no, launched into her findings and got off the phone ASAP. I don’t think I heard a word. Her dismissive nature was appalling particularly given the serious nature of my daughters problems. My recommendation...run don’t walk.

Dr. Bani is the best Gastroenterology that I have seen. She takes her time in our office visits and always makes me feel optimistic that I am doing well and will continue to get better.
